Better than jinjer? Cmon man

I dislike ranking artists as better or worse. Jinjer is best at being Jinjer. Mayu is best at being Mayu. Nemophila (Neem-oh-FEEL-ah, there is only one i) is best at being Nemophila. That said, I personally prefer Mayu and Nemophila. My ears, my taste. And I love their sense of humor and fun. They can lift my spirits on a crappy day. That said

I've been an absolute Jinjer fan since the beginning, Tatiana has a phenomenal voice, her growling is unmatched. But I'm also an absolute Nemophila fan, I know all the songs including the cover songs, which no other band plays better than Nemophila. Mayu is a super talent ,her voice is very variable and absolutely clean, Mayu is able to sing many variations perfectly, look at the cover of Loudness, Kiss, Linking Park etc. Her screaming is aggressive, fast and penetrating, the change to clean singing is just as fast and clean as Tatiana, Tatiana sings of course in the low range and growling differently, Mayu doesn't master that, Tatiana's voice comes more from within, Mayu's voice comes more from her mouth. I love both singers in their way, heard Nemophila as a band with Mayu, Saki,Haragushi,Hazuki and Tamu now among the top bands with a great future, should I ever have the opportunity to see them live, I will get on my knees to say hello. Absolutely Dream To see Tatiana and Mayu together on stage would be two super talents for me.

comparing those two bands (or growls with screams) is like comparing pasta to pizza. we love both!

Jinjer is my all time favorite band and been a metal head since 1980. That being said Nemophila is quickly rising in my heart, best thing I found in 2020. I hate the clickbait besides both being Metal the style of music and vocals are not comparable. I think both bands are awesome.

Think you have to decide if you compare them to another band or you find them unique. I personally hate to compare, it is simply wrong.

Nemophila: Making brutality beautiful! Nemophila were founded in 2019. There are a supergroup composed of: Mary's Blood guitarist Saki ex-Lipstick vocalist Mayu ex-Disqualia guitarist Hazuki (also plays with Lisa-X) ex-Hölderlins bassist Haraguchi-san, and ex-Soramimi drummer Muratatam (also does other projects) Initially, they were just a side project, co-organized by Saki and Mayu. They started off posting metal covers of well-known rock, pop and metal songs. I'm 51yo and i've more than 100 000 songs in my hard drive, and let me tell you, Nemophila is a great band, i love it so much... (sry, my english isn't good, but i'll try) To answer the question in the title of the vid, their style are completely different, it's like comparing tomatoes and carots... Jinjer's musicians are 10y older, they look like old beer drinkers and they sound like an old hardcore jazz-metal fusion band, with technicaly good heavy rhythmics but never any guitar solos... Nemophila's musicians are less experinced for sure, but the band sounds more like fresh hardcore metal-rock fusion, much more dynamic and with nice guitar solos, and the clear voice of the singer is stronger and punchy. Nemophila is a young females ONLY metal band, that makes all the difference, and to be honest, how many of those can we see in Europe or US, none. Honestly, nowdays, japanese metal bands kill it, they're refreshing and it's so good to hear something different like Trident (with my favorite japanese female drummer Junna), Unlucky Morpheus, Quadratum, BandMaid, BabyMetal, Wagakki or Lovebites for example, keep it up Japan, we will follow you...

This is the "Fisher Cat" genre, right? Anyone who's had the "pleasure" of experiencing one of these animals in the wild know what I'm talking about. There's nothing really unique about the sound other than the screeching. Can't compare to Jinjer, different styles completely.

Yeah, love this band. Not a fan of Jinjer, I don’t like growling. Screams, harsh vocal work. But love Nemophila, Lovebites, Band Maid, Galneryus. But love Mayus high pitch screams, too clean vocals. Mayu is beautiful in the song Life.

Haven’t seen enough of Jinjer to draw any conclusions but I know they’re a good band. On the other side, I’m well aware Nemophila is a supergroup of veteran metal musicians who’re among Japan’s finest in their respective instruments esp. that lead guitarist and drummer. Vocals- I prefer Tatiana’s fries more coz of its volume. Mayu takes it on the cleans coz of her raspy, metallic timbre (pretty much my ideal type for metal) Musicianship- Japan’s standard for it is simply very high, definitely second to none. So Nemophila takes this. Catalogue- Jinjer by a mile as Nemophila has yet to even release an album. Too new. Overall appeal- As a straight man, I’d always pick 5 gorgeous women over 1 if everything else is equal. 🤣 In this case, I already like their musicianship and vocals more so Nemophila takes an easy win. Another thing I really like about Nemophila is their fun image as a band. They drop a cover every week, from serious iconic metal songs to parody ones like the banana minions song and Anime soundtracks. This alone gives them a massive edge over 99.9% of artists out there across any genre, in my books. This is my usually unfulfilled selfish wish of all my fav artists so yeah, Nemophila is my subjective and objective better choice.

When I saw the thumbnail and it said, "Better then Jinjer"? I was like, I gotta listen to this LOL 😄😄😄 Well I did, and I have to say no, but that's just my opinion, and I might be biased, I mean look at my profile pic LOL 😄😄 All kidding aside, it basically comes down to taste and what you prefer. Jinjer to me is one of the best bands I've ever heard, and Tati's vocals are incredible, at least for me. I've been a metal head for over 40 years and I never liked growling vocals at all, but something was different with Tati, she just blew me away the first time I heard her, and yes I know that they're several females who can growl/scream, but for me, Tati is the best by far. Again it's about preference, and everyone is entitled to their opinion. Nemophila is a very good band, but it's just not for me, and I know Jinjer isn't for everyone too, that's the beauty of music, we all have different tastes and that ok. Pretty solid but let’s be serious, they are not even close to Jinjer. Jinjer are a lot more technical in their song writing, music composition, lyrics, individual and combined execution and vocally a lot more versatile. Not to mention a lot more unique, and I am not talking about the vocals either.

Hi Jimmy! Towards the end of 2019, Mayu departed from Lipstick. Saki from Mary's Blood, Hazuki from Disqualia, and Lisa X, Haraguchi from Holderins, and Tamu Murata from Soramimi, Inspion, studio and backup drummer extraordinaire got together to support Mayu in "The Mayu Sessions". They didn't formally become the band Nemophila until 2020. Their first music video together as a band was uploaded February 8, 2020. As well as their own material, they do British, American, and Japanese covers; and are one of the most diverse bands out there! Jean Pierre Guillou and Brandy Dynamite are big Nemophila Supporters! Jinjer don't stand the chance to Nemophila according to me. They're totally different, so there's no need to compare them. Nemophila consists of professional musicians that's been around for several years and know their way around metal. Nemophila have the courage to do whatever they want to, if they want to do pop they do pop, if they want to do extreme metal they do extreme metal. They're Nemophila!

Very clickbaity title. Other than the fact that both bands feature highly qualified and dedicated musicians and very charismatic front women, I think it is unnecessary to compare or even play off these bands against each other. Nemophila, by the way is the name of a flower with five petals.

The intensity is there. The bass, guitars and drums sounded like any metalcore band. Her screams/screeching literally sounded just that. Cleans are good. They can do better for sure

With this band it’s easy, They have few songs, but only masterpieces ! They have two EP for the moment, but high quality. The japanese metal scene is amazing with bands like this one, lovebites or Maximum the hormone.

Aside from the singers' screams sounding like a Cat being strangled with a blowtorch up it's arse , it was not bad. She should reframe from using that hideous sound. She does have a good "clean" voice though. Top notch musicianship but , still a bit generic sounding to this old guys ears.

Her singing is good her growl is extremely high pitch and can't understand the lyrics 🤷..the band is solid but its a push push push style..jinjers range is just way better..her lows are unmatched and her singing is just ridiculous..and for just a 3 piece band the sound is full and you never know where they are going in the songs so its not very predictable like most bands....so not better than jinjer but still really good

I love how mad Jinjer fans are in the comments. Especially on something that is as opinion based as music. I heard on Jinjer song that was alright. Put them on at work one day and that was it. I'm going with Nemophila as well. Just the 6 or 7 songs they released in the year they've existed has me excited for their full length that's coming. They are kind of variety musicians where not everything sounds like this and I appreciate that more than bands that you know exactly what every song is gonna relatively sound like.
