The 2nd row seat fold forward is for snow skis being stored inside the vehicle (that is my guess). The rear seat facing back is for watching polo matches. That gold exterior from the other video looks amazing. That interior on this one is fire. So stylish and classy.

Love your in-depth and honest review. We have owned 2 SVO LWB Range Rovers and have LOVED them! They are great if you don't need the middle seat. Our kids loved sitting in the back and we loved driving them. We live in a warm weather locale and the refrigerators are amazing! We keep hand wipes in them to help cool us off when it is hot! We do have a 2023 LWB and the interface is a bit disappointing. Do like that it has CarPlay but overall a bit disappointing. We are used to the awesome MercedesMe interface our other cars have so it is a bit of a bummer and I assume this interface will be the same. That said....this is amazing!

I have a 2014 5.0l Autobiography, only been in the shop once because of an ignition coil issue that was covered under a certified pre owned warranty, and once for tire warranty. Bought it used in 2017 @ 40k miles, and now it's @ 110k miles. I'll probably upgrade when it breaks down again. I did have to buy 2 batteries for it, but other than that it's been surprisingly reliable. They have a higher resale than most cars with the same msrp of the same year, like the GLS and S class. I think if you get all the initial issues sorted out in a land rover during the warranty, it's pretty reliable.

They are fine if you look after them. Not a lexus but no worse than average. The problem is that people pick up used ones for family car money but forget the running costs are still exactly the same as the day it rolled out the showroom. They dont do the maintenance then whinge when they breakdown. I have had 3 Range Rovers and apart from expected batteries, tyres, brakes, servicing etc I have never spent an additional penny.
@seanl764
@seanl764 8 ай бұрын
@@davidk7262 Maintenance costs are very cheap if you actually know how to change the oil. You don't even need a jack since the clearance is so tall. It usually runs me $50 for the best synthetic mobil 1 oil, best engine protector like liqui moly ceratec, and filter from walmart and 1 hour of my time. People just don't know how to do anything nowadays and go to dealerships just to get ripped off, and you waste more time waiting for the oil change than it takes to get it done yourself. My quote from the local dealership is $320 for just service A. Which is a charged cost of over $270 for 1 hour of work which is insanity. Also they are not using liqui moly ceratec... so it's closer to billing $290 per hour. I also have to drive 50 minutes back and forth and wait for 2 hours at the dealership most of the time.

@@DuckMcDuckinson In my old L322 Rage Rover, the 4.4 TDV8 is the reliable choice over the older BMW engine (old news I know, and the JLR V8 petrol was superb - had one of those too, but still) ... and I honestly think that there aren't any reliability issues that exceed any other luxury brands at this level ... especially when you actually use one of these for towing and off road ... for which these are arguably peerless. This is possibly the ultimate all round vehicle for those that need absolutely everything but circling the Nurburgring ... and if you want to do that and have one of these ... you likely have another toy for that of course 😎

I test drove for a company, the last generation diesel models, before they were even thought of being sold in the US. We drove those things in Vegas, maybe over 300 miles a day, and we never had any issues. Granted, we had mechanics on hand if any issues arose, but still. Without ever having owned one, I’d say Range Rovers are fine (if you can comfortably own one) for at least the original warranty period. Outside of that, I’d get an extended warranty, and then maybe it’s buyer beware. But truly, buying any luxury car (other than say a Lexus) with a decent number of miles on it, or that is outside of the original warranty, it’s a risk.

Have you owned a Range Rover and had issues? I have owned Range Rover's since 2012 and have had fewer problems with them than I have had with my other SUV's. Wish you the best with ur RR, i'm looking forward buying one myself. But there are Two things i'm really concerned with. I'm a great sucker for comfort above all. And all of my picks until now had been prioritizing, Going over sharp speed breakers how much tilt and movement do you feel and when going over a pothole are some vibrations, shakes and jerky movements especially going over a rough train where even a vehicle with standard air suspension will bounce because our main purpose of buying this is because we constantly travel difference cities as we get projects and most of times there's a lots of rough train, so i'm kind of confused for making a decision between Mercedes equipped with E active body control system and RR. In Saudi Arabia the problem is it's not available unless you either buy Maybach or wait for so long for the GLS equipped with EABC. Tho even if i have other options i do want to pick RR as i love land rovers. But my concerns about this vehicle is kind of pushing me back and only the person who have experienced it as daily driver can help. Thanks for you time kindly if you can let me know your experience it would be really helpful

@@S.M.HassanShah I can confirm that the RR is not a sporty vehicle, you will feel tilt and movement much more than in a RR Sport, I can't speak about Maybach, never tried one. Must be why top of the Range rovers are going two for a buck fifty, just so reliable...where twenty five year old Land Cruisers are still fetching top dollar. I bought a Land Rover once to try them out, thinking they couldn't be as bad as everyone says. The transmission tried to go into first gear at highway speeds on day one. Imagine what a four wheel compression break in a two ton car at 110kph feels like. Enjoy supporting the Chinese with their terrible products. I'm going to continue to support Lexus because they don't go wrong and as such support the dollars I put in with high resale values and peace of mind.

@@BlackonBlackE46 yes. But unfortunately bad reliability = terrible depreciation = bad lease deals (lease price are determines by expected depreciation) So you can lease a much more expensive car for a comparable lease payment. But bc of that, LR dealers end up having to do massive discounting to sell cars. Point is that bad reliability actually does indirectly hurt JLR's profit on new cars. Brands like Porsche are more profitable bc they don't have to discount as heavily, largely bc their cars retain value better.

I owned a new Range Rover Sport, maintained it exceptionally well, however had to sell after dealing with too many mechanical and electrical issues. Warranty covered it however, it was such an inconvenience going back and forth to the dealership. I had zero confidence to drive long distances for ski trips worried I’d be stuck on the side of the road. I now have a new, reliable, proven Toyota 4Runner that will last a lot longer, have low operating costs, and provide the confidence that I won’t be a dealerships 8 times per year. Lessons learned.

Wonder how are people managing to squeeze two to three hundred k kilometers out of them when they fail so much... Always the jap lover with the nonsensical story about the perfectly maintained non jap car that fall to pieces. And it's actually the most expensive car to offer the turbo V8, and I say that because that turbo V8 is also being offered in most other performance cars in the Volkswagen group like the Audi RSQ7, the RSQ8 coupe SUV, Porsche Panamera Turbo, the Cayenne Turbo, the RSQ7 coupe, the Lamborghini Urus, and even the RS6 Avant wagon

Land Rover certainly produces some very capable vehicles that never leave the pavement. Budd's JLR offered owners an off road course before construction began on the land that's now Budd's BMW. It was a lot of fun to experience a suburban off road course and how your vehicle could handle it. Having owned one between 1997-2006 its weakness was the electronics, I can only imagine the nightmarish scenario facing today's owners with even more computerized electronics onboard. Where's the automatic espresso machine?
