If I was looking for (another) field watch, I'd get this over the Hammy, for several reasons. 1. It's cheaper. 2. Proper water resistance. 3. Much better lume. 4. There are multiple instances of issues with the Hamilton movements. Personally I think it's daft paying a lot more for lesser specs just to have "Swiss made' printed on the dial.

Great looking watch. As usual, Baltany use the best crystals, love this brand. The ring shaped counterbalance is a nice touch. They could sign their crowns using a "B" or something. If they made a champagne version, I'd be all over it!

The dial doesn't have the depth of the Hamilton, but it's still a great looking watch! Those Baltany cases are magic on the wrist as well. Great review as always brother! 🍻

Having owned both the Hamilton 38, 40, and 42 mm khaki fields I think Beltany has nailed the sweet spot. The Beltany hits the sweet spot with good case dimensions and proportions, perfect luglug length. I gave up the Hamilton's ultimately because of fit. The 42 was too big, the 38 was not beefy enough and lugs are too long. The 40mm was the best but the dial was flat and not stepped like the 38 and 42. Hamilton field watches do have a wonderful hand set, hopefully the Beltany's hands look just as good as Hamilton's.

For all those saying get the Hamilton, the problem is when you walk out the store with a Hammy you know they had your pants down for an okay watch. Buying the Baltany at a days pay (on average) you feel like the real winner..

Great looking Baltany. With that being said. I have 3 Hamilton watches and wouldn't want to be without them because they perform wonderfully amd are great watches but this Baltany looks like a great alternative if you want to save some bucks and have the look of a Hamilton.Baltany have done a great job with this watch. Good job Baltany! If I didn't have a Hamilton this would possibly be a purchase for me. Great review. Cheers!

Figuring on getting this during the sale. I have a Hamilton khaki in 42mm on a bracelet with a black dial and love it. This will be a nice addition with the blue dial and I won’t worry about it getting beat up a bit with regular use

I got it in the first day of the sale. It just arrived today and I love it! My wrist is 7". At first I thought 40mm-41mm would have been better, but the more I wear it, the more than 39mm feels just right. I really don't mind the included leather strap. It has some nice thickness and edging and feels great on wrist. I got the blue dial version. The blue dial is incredible how it plays with the light - I'll be constantly staring at it it's just spellbinding. The red tip on the second hand is very legible. Lum is good. Numerals are crisp. Crystal is super clear like it's not even there, yet I don't see any AR coating hues, like the blue hue you quite often see. Hands are very stylish - they knocked this out of the park! My only gripe is that I put it on the timegrapher and over 6 positions averages +14.7 sec/day. So I'll be regulating this down a bit. Other than that I'm basically the same as you, in that there are really no negatives to say for this stunning piece. It's the kind of watch where I think - Swiss watch companies need to start getting worried!

There really needs to be some kind of separation between the 15 hour marker and the date. The Hamilton has a frame around the date. Just looks like '15XX'.

Hi, got the feeling your videos always have that blue hue. My advice would be to use some colour correction with your editing software. Just in case this isn't specifically the look you are going for. I feel like the color balance should be improved though.

This is a great offering from a great brand. Very well executed. I looked at the Hamilton and it's too big at 42mm. This is a much more wearable 39mm. Perfect. Have bought already.

I just ordered one of these, I have always wanted a Hamilton Khakhi field but the price in Australia is almost $1000, picked this up for $240 aussie dollars, will see what its like. Worth the risk, I never owned a Baltany but heard good things

Great review! Really solid offering by Baltany, but the dial looks a bit flat compared to the Hamilton. Not sure why that is exactly.

I ordered this type last night but i asked for a black strap with this blue dial, don't know if i will get it but this looks good also. On some descriptions they say the company's name or manufactor is Mystery Code and that came as a surprise.

Lovely watch if I didn't own quite a few field watches already (Hamilton Khaki King, Lorus Lumibright, Seiko SNK809, Timex Expedition Scout and a Boldr Venture Carbon) I would be all over this one. Think I would take this over most of the Seiko field offerings.

I like the Hamilton better as its case is thinner, it has a more streamlined design and the Baltany is rougher, thicker.

With a 39mm size, not really. It's an ideal dive watch size but not a field watch. The Hamilton Khaki Field Automatic is 38mm. The largest size of the original WWII dirty dozen field watches was 38mm from the smallest of 35mm. Field watches are military watches designed to go under the sleeves of a battle dress, field jackets and shirts. The larger it is, the less ideal it is.

Small noticable issues make it a fail.

DON'T buy a baltany watch. My baltany watch completely failed after wearing it 4 times. I contacted baltany requesting their address so I could ship it to them to be repaired / replaced, it has a 2 year warranty. They refused to provide their shipping address and said to have it serviced locally, despite the movement completely failing. Unbelievable, they are NOT a legitimate company. I just ate $150, it went right down the drain !

Geez, just save up a little longer and buy a real Hamilton. They're not that expensive...
