I think that's a really good point - take this bag for instance, whoever sold it lost ALOT of money, and I paid relatively next to nothing, so you can say this was a terrible investment piece! If we treat bags like publicly traded companies, then chances are, it's possible that the usual suspects like Hermes and Chanel may not be the sure shot investments we think they are. Right now for instance, smaller hermes/chanel bags retain their value better, but who knows in the future! I think the best thing one can do is just to buy a bag to enjoy it, and save investing for more proven assets!

And mine was actually listed only in "good" condition because of "structure wear", which honestly, I didn't understand why, because I don't think even brand news, the large sizes would've had a lot of structure to begin with lol! In my opinion, the bag was easily in "very good" condition, with no scratches/dings/color transfer, etc. Happy shopping, there are quite a few beautiful ones on those sites right now!

Some “good” and even “fair” look close to new in pictures, but I assume it’s either lighting/angles/filters or non-visible issue. Even worse, there’s no option to contact sellers on TRR for more info. Your reply gives me a little more hope and trust to expand my searches going forward. (And finally pull the trigger on the electric blue monster eyes!)
