Great job. I like this much better than other options people have presented. This keeps the safety valve located on the main connection in place. Most other options remove the entire valve/safety valve and replace it with a T fitting or something. That eliminates the safety device. This is much more ingenious. Kind of going in through the out door as Led Zeppelin would say! Thanks!

Great. I got tired of lugging around my air compressor. So I grabbed one of those portable tanks. Did your set up and it works great.

For most average jobs, I just stop by Costco Nitrogen stations and fill up to 80psi, would be nice to have higher pressure, but that gets me through most mobile jobs I do, as I use cordless power tools and only need air for blowing out cylinders, brakes, ect... If I find I need more pressure or more volume, I have a portable tire pump that will take it up to 120psi and can be running/filling while I'm working on other things, and it is quick to top off the tank, starting from the 80 I got from Costco.

I just found my late fathers compressor. Never in my life have I used it or have tried to. Learned so far they are refillable and now I learned to use a different hose and quick connect. Also just learned how to connect everything. What are those male valves called? is there a specific size hose I'm looking for? Thanks.

What are the pieces I need to make that Quick connect fittings with valve

Great tip: This video inspired me to create one of these little tools to refill the air. But I was thinking that I could possibly lose this little thing. So I am going to grab a magnet and use a hot glue gun to attack the magnet to it. When not in use I will stick it to the side of my tank.

Mine is MUCH simpler. I have a male quick connect on the pressure valve. My air chuck hose has a female quick connect, as does the hose from my compressor. No monstrosity of male to male adapters and ball valves. Just plug the desired hose directly to the tank. Simple. Easy. Cheap. It would make a 30 second video.

What size of air compressor do i need to fill a air tank to 125 psi? The reason why I ask is my air compressor holds up to 125psi max but will only fill my air tank to 95 to 100 psi. Thanks for your video.

May you tell me will a central pneumatic nail gun work for this.I tried a central pneumatic 125 psi 2hp 8 gal air compressor and the nailer worked for it. But would the air tank you got work for the central pneumatic nail gun. Can you connect a 3/8 x 50 ft rubber air hose for this air tank cause this hose is what I use for my nail gun ?

Be careful not to overfill your portable tank. It could rupture if youj forget to turn your valve off in time.

Can you use a foot-pump to add pressure to an air tank, if you have lots of free time and energy? I just want to know if its possible. If the foot pump can go up to 150 PSI and the tank goes up to 150 PSI, I would think it is possible, even if it took 10,000 foot pumps. I recently found out I can use a foot pump to add air to a slightly low car tire.

I looked this idea up and found your video. Great idea but thinking maybe asking a check valve on a Tee fitting and the air fills tank up and then the other line coming out the Tee fitting can use to for tires ect. But I'm thinking. Stationary not portable. So portable this is best idea but I'm trying to make a stationary which idk why cause I have 2 stationary compressor but maybe someone else that only has this can use that idea. jwelsh1238, Been using that "valve & 2 male fittings" for maybe 50 years or more. My compressor went bad, could not find parts for it, remodeled my whole air supply from scratch. On the portable tank, I used a check valve. www.amazon.com/Control-Devices-Brass-Check-Female/dp/B007IVRPZC. Now I can put my valve & 2 male fittings gadget to rest. Simply plug the female coupler to it, unplug it. Walk away and your done. I don't have to keep tabs on the special adapter anymore.
