Yes this is the sequel to Keepers of the Seven Keys and in my opinion arguably one of the best songs from the Andi alone era. By the way: Keeper of the Seven Keys can be understood as a reinterpretation of the Book of Revelation. Sorry for my English.

Helloween are an amazing band that shine out whenever they decide to do : You might want epic power metal - “Eagle fly free”, “We burn”, “Save us”, “Paint a new world “, “Robot King” , “World of war” You might want sharp fanged borderline thrash/speed metal - The entire “Walls of Jericho” album You might want goofy humorous and light hearted songs - “Perfect Gentleman”, “Dr. Stein”, “Asshole”, “Lost in America” You might want long-ass epics - Try “Halloween” next time, equality as amazing as the previous two you have already heard You might want some unexpected poppy/jazzy/ radio-friendly experiments - The entire “Chameleon” album You might want some heavy baby-making ballads that put Scorpions to shame - “A tale that wasn’t right”, “Forever and one”, “Music” You might want some social satire - “Rise and fall” You might want some weird self-reflecting spiritual struggles - “I believe”, “Longing” My point is that Helloween are mostly very energetic variant of the traditional heavy metal, later on defined as power metal, which they are referred to as its fathers. It is a style that requires great musical literacy, high culture, high instrumental and vocal proficiency and competence, and it’s one of the most challenging styles even though it might sound a bit more straightforward and approachable to the surface. However they have never shied away from experimenting with other genres as well, including with more modern 90’s moder metal grooves.. Many are copying them, very few reach their glory. You are right, this is really a great song from the Deris era, another one i really like from Andi is Nabatea.

I've been listening to this song for more than 10 years and I'm still surprised how sick this song is

Basically, the king of 1000 years was the character who "should" defeat satan and protect humanity, but he can't resist the temptation of the devil and fails, delivering humanity to darkness.... In the end, the Keeper of the 7 keys is the last hope for the liberation of humanity and he achieves it in the end.

The story starts in the first Keeper - in "Halloween" and continues in "Occasion Avenue"... :)

funnily enoug hthis band brought out a cd for thir anniversary couple years ago where they put their most famous songs into jazz!!!! style and it still works BUT only if you accept other music styles. Some people can't unfortunately. Weird idea in the first place but it shows what qualities they have.

As far as your question about all the different band names shown on the screen when you paused... They're all metal bands, and I think most (if not all) have either had songs about the devil, or have been thought of by some as being devil music. I might be grasping at straws, but I think that's the tie in that the person had while making the video, especially considering the song is about the devil tempting this person into being on his side.

So, my take on the 3rd song is that this is based loosely on the belief that Jesus would reign for 1,000 years. However... The beginning of this song references Satan again, as well as the 7 seas and the 7 keys (the Keeper of the 7 Keys song you indeed reacted to last week). So, my thought is that this 1,000 year reign is someone that might have sided with Satan instead of throwing the final key and banishing him away. Or at least this is possibly the promise that the devil makes to the Keeper of the 7 Keys to tempt him to not throw that final key. Its the devil basically saying that the 2 of them (devil and keeper of the keys) would rule together for 1,000 years. Needless to say, this video has nothing to do with the song, lol. To let you see the lyrics, it was either this or a live performance with the studio recording dubbed over it, and slightly out of sync at that. So, I went with the one that aggravates me less, lol. Having heard this, you have heard the Keeper Trilogy in its entirety. I'll happily recommend the orchestral compilation for next time. Anyway, I think you had the idea for this song pretty much figured out. I apologize in advance for rambling with my thoughts, lol. Thanks for watching, Randi and I'm really glad that you enjoyed it!! So, we have had Kiske singing the songs "Halloween" and "Keeper of the Seven Keys", and now Andy Deris finishes off the trilogy with this one. It will be him singing on the orchestral compilation coming up as well. Helloween has been truly gifted to have never had a bad (or even average) singer!

Maybe you react someday to 'Helloween; Pumkins United' live at Wacken 2019. The song 'How Many Tears' is from their Debut Album 'Walls Of Jericho'. In 2019 Kai Hansen(guitar & first singer) and Michael Kiske united together with Andi & the other pumpkins. It was just amazing..or 'epic'...hehe, no, another word than epic.
