I really appreciate you guys bringing up taking care of your dealers. As somebody who has worked in the industry it makes a huge difference when people are informed about how we make our money. Used to work at an 18+ joint and a lot of the young ones didn’t even know you were supposed to tip

One thing I always do... if I put everything I have left on the table (usually a big Don't, trying to claw my way out of a hole), I'll make sure I place the point for the dealers as well. That way if I win, I'm still playing. If I lose, the dealers still get tipped. I know that dealers don't expect to get tipped when someone loses their shirt; but I figure win or lose, I couldn't play if they weren't there. They're providing a service, and they should be tipped. Also, if I'm up and it's getting close to time I'm going to leave, that's when I start placing dealer bets. If they lock up winning dealer bets in the first half hour of a 4 hour session, they may not remember that they already got tipped by me. So make dealer bets through your entire session, or do it at the end so it's fresh in their minds when you color up.

I find the dealers get happy and help you a bit when you bet for them, not cheating, but encouraging you to press when the shooter is hot, stuff like that. They also chat with you a bit more, which always makes gambling fun - when everyone is having fun--

I play on the gulf coast, and always have a bet for the dealers and volunteer to help give back after hurricanes when they have to work and rebuild their homes

I always tip all through the game, and make bets for them especially if I’m winning. I had something interesting happen. The point was 5 and I placed the 5 on the line. The point was made and he paid me 7 to 5. The next roll was a 7 pass line winner. The stick man pushed my chips up off the line into the pass line and paid me. I don’t think he would have done that without me tipping. Was a positive night💪🏻💥💪🏻

I typically bet 320 across and 32 across for the dealers. They always collect as I hit I press mine and their bets. If I do 110 inside they get 22 inside. At the end when I color up they get all green, red and white chips.

Another player got me into betting a two-way "Yo". There were three players betting on it when it hit. It was awesome. I like to put a pass line bet for the dealers.

One thing to remember is that if a dealer bet hits, it's likely your bet hit as well. So make sure you're putting them back up on the action. My favorite bet is on the come out, and it's a "2-way horn high your pick" (you being the stick person).

I routinely bet a 2 way Yo on come out.....At Reno Casinos I used to toss a tip to Stick and just say Dealer bet....I noticed that if I was heavy on Hardways they generally bet one or all with me....if not they placed a number. Never knew why I was Always treated very well....I was just raised to tip those that are working

If me and the dealer are having conversations and he's looking out for my bets on the table I play with them. I always place a bet on the passline with odds it can be a dollar with 3 on the odds. It makes the game even more fun when the dealers are rooting for you because they also want to win. As long as the vibe is right on the table let the good times roll 🎲 eh eh like that huh Lol

Went to Reno this weekend. Dealers so unprofessional. They wouldn’t explain the fire bet to me unless I bet it, which I didn’t. They were also tipping themselves - they would convince newer players to put down 5 on the fire bet and then make change and put 3 for the player and 2 for the dealer without asking or being told! Is this bc Reno is a smaller market and people don’t tip as well so the dealers have to manufacture tips??

Many casinos stiff their own dealers by paying 1:1 on the 6 / 8 and 5 / 9 place bets for dealers when it's only a $1 since there's no 25-cent or 50-cent chips. Casinos in NJ, however, round up and allow the dealers to pay themselves 2:1 for all place bets, even the inside 5, 6, 8, 9, when it's only a $1 bet. That makes the $1 place bet tokes one of the best for NJ dealers. Not a high roller, but I'll throw at least one $1 place bet on a 6 or 8. In other places, since I typically won't have more than $33 to start on place bets, it's better to put a $2 toke as place bet on either the 5 or 9. When it hits, the dealers can pay at true odds and collect a total of $5. They are more appreciative of this.

I wish the dealers kept their own tips in Vegas... I don't want to tip every dealer in the casino... I want to tip the ONE dealer who is showing me great customer service... Or only that ONE craps crew... That kinda bothers me... The dealers at the Strat, Hooters, and the Silverton keep their own tips I like that a lot... I usually "envelope" tip a dealer their tips and have them meet me somewhere after their shift and give them what they earned if im playing at a place where they're forced to pool their tips... I'm not being a hater im just saying that's how I feel about it... But I tip EVERYWHERE no matter what I just tend to tip a lot more to a dealer if I know exactly where my tips are going...

Last time I was able to bet for the dealers I used the field to do it. On a 10 dollar table I would place a field bet every so often if it hit I pulled back the 1st 10 and gave the dealers the winnings. So I didn't have to tell anyone anything and let me tell you it paid off big for the dealers had the box man wondering what was going on it was kinda funny. And the other dealer wondered what he did wrong because when he got in place I colored up and left. I didn't do this to be mean I was using the casinos systems to time the time spent on the table. However the table got hot after I left. Unlucky for me

The couple of times I played craps, I always had a dollar on every bet I had for the dealers. Not sure if that’s a good thing or bad. But I can tell you they helped me by paying attention to me. Which is good I am still new to the game and get intimidated.

If. Ettinger 6 across for the dealers are they paid the same if the 6 wins then if the 10 wins. Or do they get the benefits of the different odds.

I like to give the dealer $100. Ask for $96 across and the $4 inside for the dealers.

I usually bet hard ways for the dealers. But from now on I'll bet the pass line+odds. Because the odds are better. And dealers can root for the winning points. 🎲🎲🏤🎰🎼💥

I usually just tell the dealer this is for you where do you want me to put it down and have them tell me where they want the bet and ill place it for them never had any issue doing it and seems to be the most easy because its very clear whats going on since I directly asked him where he would like his bet to go and he doesnt need to touch or do anything that the casino might not like

In most casinos, all of the tips from all of the dealers in a 24 hour period are pooled and split.

@@jimklemens5018 it really depends. You are correct that most places share tips over a 24 hour period (so the graveyard guys don’t get shafted for it being dead). I have seen two telltale signs of a house where dealers keep their own: sometimes (getting rarer and rarer) a dealer will physically carry around a box with their tips. I have also seen on cruise ships where tips are dropped into the common “box”, but not until a dealer change and the dealers count it out and color it up before dropping it (and the pit boss takes note of the amount). This leads me to believe dealers also are keeping their own tips.

I have a question about tipping when you hit a big side bet at any table game or hand pay at a slot machine and am curious what people do: Is there a certain percentage people tip? I recently hit a side bet at a black jack table that paid $540.00 and I tipped the dealer $25.00. Was that too little, too much, or about right?

There is nothing requiring you tip a certain amount. I think your tip was appropriate considering how many other times the sidebet did NOT hit. I once had a slot win for $5,000 and I tipped the person that paid me $100 and got a dirty look. I read later that it is "expected" to tip that person five percent of your winnings. Get real. They walked up, picked up a stack of cash, and grabbed some paperwork for me to sign.

@@toddrunyon 5% eff that. Like you said they went to the cage got the money and counted it for you. Nothing special. $100 is more than enough. Do they think they deserve $250? People lost 10X times more than that before hitting the jackpot. $100 take it or leave it. Next time ask for a different person.

So I usually wait until I get a win. I don't bet weird stuff and make the dealers life difficult. However, If I'm the only one betting for the dealers. I ask the dealer to shout out their bets...to hint to the other players. 90% of the time, in my experience everyone start betting for the dealers. There have been a couple of times that no one bet for the dealers and many didn't even tip...assholes! I've used strategies from what I've seen and tip accordingly. I almost was a dealer..my regular job kicked back in with a lot of work so I had to not go to the dealer school as I couldn't faithfully commit. But I still gamble there! Thanks for showing others how to bet for the dealers...a great practice.

If I have $10 on the pass line and $10 odds,. I like to add a $1 to $2 to my odds for the dealer if the point is 4 and 10 if I am winning. How do I indicate it is for the dealers?

YES! I am the 35th to comment! The way I tip is I generally take the stick 1position on the right of the stick man. I lean in towards the stick man right away as I am reaching for my chips after they've exchanged my money from buying in. As I grab my chips and start placing them in my rack, I gesture with my hand to have the stick man lean towards me as I go psssst. When he leans in, first I look left, then I look right to see if anyone is watching, and then I give him the best tip ever! I whisper to him, "When you are at the dog park in the winter, don't eat the yellow snow!"

One of my favorite tips is to use my odd change to start hard way stack for the dealers. Say I'm inside on 15 table 15 59 and 18 68. Evey win pays 21. I pick a hard way and start betting 1 hard way on every win. So 5 wins, start with 1 hard 4 for the dealer. 9 wins, press dealer hard 4 another dollar, etc. Its boring at first, but occasionally when that stack gets big it gets exciting and when it hits when it's big...huge! Good times!!!

Here’s how I tip: every time a point is hit, I put $1 on the pass line. If the point is 5/9, I put $2 in odds. If the point is 4/10, $1 odds. If the point Is 6 or 8, I bet the point the hard way for $1 (to avoid the short payout). Exception: if I were in AC, I’d bet $1 odds on all points because I believe state law requires the casino to round up on tip payoffs. If the shooter hits more than a point, I start to press. And I don’t tip when I leave the table unless it goes really well because I’m going to be tipping the cage the odd change

What a terrible way to think. You don't tip the game because it's going well. You tip your dealers because they're giving you a SERVICE. Tipping them based on the outcome of a game they have no control over doesn't make sense.

@@andrew2393 would love to find a dealer that expects the same level of tipping whether you are winning or losing. If every shooter sevens out, I won’t be around long enough to be a flea to the dealers. And if someone hits just one point, I’ve still tipped even though the bet has lost. If this happens more than once, I’ll typically hand in something. How do you tip, Andrew?

@@barkman1739 Again. You're not understanding my point. The dealer has no control over the outcome of the game including what the shooter rolls. I tip the dealer based on SERVICE which includes the speed on how fast they give me service whether I win or lose or entertainment which is how it SHOULD be.

@@barkman1739 How about ASK me because you're talking to one. Rich dudes don't tip us more. It's the middle class dudes that tip us the MOST regardless if they're WINNING or LOSING. Ask any dealer. Matter of FACT, I just had a dude recently win over 10 grand on side bets and he gave us as much as any other person that tips us in the casino so what are you talking about?

Crapsee sux as an app. I joined as a paid subscriber and couldn’t login. On the login screen it doesn’t give you the ability for a keyboard to join. The login screen took forever to load. No thanks. Wasted $5.
