You know what really gets me the most about this? When the doorbell rings and she says “I wonder who that could be? It’s too early for the garbage man,” but the trash man usually comes at like 7-8AM. That means Irving’s irritating ass really got up at the crack of dawn just to be a POS to sweet ol’ Betty just trying to make her cakes.

@@luthiengs She might have baked the cake earlier, and just stuck it in the oven to warm it up a bit after it sat in the fridge. Hopefully she had a fridge that used Freon, though, unlike the earlier ones that could leak deadly gases into the home.

Oh my goodness!! It’s the inventor from that “Christmas Comes but Once A Year” cartoon I adored growing up! (I had a VHS tape of Christmas Animated Classics.) I had no idea he was a Betty Boop character. I love Grampy! 🥰
