I am a classical violinist but I love metal and this music too. For me these guys are VERY VERY GENIUS. I was thrilled with light tears!!! This is very wonderful!!!!!

And it’s absolutely awesome that they not only came up with this music and made the album, but decided to return to the studio to play it live in its entirety with no break really to speak of and with very few and minor mistakes Give homage where it is due and recognize genius (in every sense of that overused word) when it appears For another even better example of their range and talent, listen to “the proverbial bellow”

Compositionally, it's pretty directly inspired by Aram Khachaturian's "Sabre Dance", which makes me love it even more.

its wonky as fuck. Its hard to tell who wrote what.. in the guitar book they are all credited with every song, but the bass carries this song so it make sense to me. DOPE.

You're 100% correct. This was done with studio musicians to hit the extra instrumentation, like we saw with thew saxophonist.

Dam! You sold another album! Blake, I saw your article in Modern Drummer and I'm just now getting to hear you on YT. Any drummer who mentions Bobby Rock as an influence has got my vote. These youngster still don't have a clue even with all that's out there to learn from, that it takes a lot work, dedication and fucking practice. Rock on dude!
