Plenty of videos on You Tube on pronounciations and learning Cymraeg (welsh). Its much easier than learning English. To pronounce the Ll (double LL) place your tongue at the top of your mouth behind your teeth and blow gently.

Which did you prefer Porthmadog or Betws-y-coed? Going to wales with 11 & 9 year old

Hi 👋 Out of the two it would have to be Betws-y-Coed for me I think as it had such a nice atmosphere, rivers and waterfalls etc. plus a big green play area. But that being said, with children of 9 and 11 it depends how much they like the beach as Black Rocks Sands was a good day out with castles nearby and the heritage railway might be fun for kids that age 🤔 Tough one but it depends if you value having easy access to the beach I guess 😊 Betws-y-coed also seemed nicely positioned as a base to explore the whole area.
