Haven't cruised in Europe so we need all the help we can get.

Instead I’m taking a cruise into that port and hired a driver to get us to Venice . I’m glad you posted this because when I found out , I was in shock. For me public transport is ok. But I have my family with me and for world peace I shelled out for a driver 🤦♀️ Don’t forget the walking around with luggage 🤦♀️🤦♀️. The positive is my family did study the area and their super excited . ❤️❤️❤️

Venice was incredible, beautiful. We came in on cruseline, in the front bow on tredmills it is a site I will always have in my mine's eye.

We got screwed on this by Celebrity. It cost us $450 to get to Ravenna from the airport. We should have flown into Balogna(sp?) Thr cruise was listed as Venice.

We sailed the inaugural cruise of the Carnival Magic in 2011, which sailed out of Venice and ended in Barcelona. Sailing away from Venice was a truly magical experience. It's good that cruise ships are banned from the city to save the lagoon, but I'm glad we were able to do it

Yes we just did this - crusie line made it way harder than it actually is. We did Venice to Ravenna w cruise line transport and then Ravenna to Bologna Train station w Bologna transport. But we had a super hard time w crusie line understanding departure times AND we could only reserve ONE in advance! Super annoying but we figured it out.

Flying into and out of Bologna is better.

What about the fact that we will have significant jet lag after arriving at the airport. We will be dragging our bags up and down stairs between train connections. I'm not looking forward to it. We are on Explorer of the Seas out of Ravenna this week.

Yeah fortunately we saw this when we were about to book. So we booked flights into bologna and took the train to ravenna. Ravenna is also very beautiful !

Thanks for letting us know they changed up the port. We’ve cruised out of Venice and it was a great experience. So easy to fly in, hotel near the people mover. Because of your video we’ve changed our minds about cruising out of aka Venice.

Almost all the cruise ports in Europe are not in the major cities they say they are. A few I can think of are Amsterdam and Barcelona . The others are all miles away.

US ports are worse. Orlando/Pt Canaveral, Galveston/Houston. The difference being in Europe it's dead easy to just take the train, and in the US you're forced into a private transfer of some sort.

@@Boffin55 you are correct but sense the video was on European ports I didn’t comment on the American

Is this dude really complaining about a 2 hour drive down the Italian coast while on vacation?
@GoodGolden25 күн бұрын
Yes. It is expensive and more like 2-1/2 hr with nothing to see.

Don't trust Cruz lines. Pay for a Reputable travel agent and even have them checked out first.You should brain😊
