Hasbro sent us our first Beyblade Burst Turbo battle set! This is the Slingshock Rail Rush Battle Set and it's definitely a game changer.
Hasbro has incorporated a rail system to try and intensify the gameplay. We're guessing that they wanted to take advantage of the characteristics of some Drivers/Performance Tips like Volcanic. They even went and redesigned the original Xtend Driver that Z Achilles comes with (Xtend-S). What they also did, which may disappoint, is that they removed the metal component of the Energy Layers. Both Wonder Valtryek V4 and Z Achilles A4 weigh MUCH less than their Takara Tomy counterparts. To some people, it may feel like a downgrade from Beyblade Burst Evolution. Overall, if you're just looking at this new play style exclusively and not comparing it to other Beys, it's still entertaining to play. The Rail DOES add a whole new vibe to battles. It's really unpredictable and it's definitely HIGH SPEED.

The reason why they have no metal is because turbo is themed around speed, not metal. Slingshock mode added for extra speed and better use of the rails so the speed is put to use. Even the name has “turbo.” No metal=more speed. Edit: Oh my god I got noticed. Also everyone in the reply section chill. It’s just a comment, didn’t want to start a world war.

Jitter life, you’re going to judge the whole series because it doesn’t have metal .-. Wow, ok then. Sure it’s disappointing, but when you think about it it’s kinda good it doesn’t have metal. If it had metal, it would probably be just a slow hunk of plastic, considering that Hasbro drivers don’t pack all that much power

I agree with you my dude, Hasbro is bringing in a different idea then just slapping on metal on the beys. I think Tommy didn’t think ahead when Hasbro needs to make the bets cause adding metal is a whole lot more expensive.

DUDE IM JUDGING IT ON HOW IT PERFORMS, Achilles only bursted cause its slopes are bad and if and if those turbo stupid plastics bad beys go up against takara Tomy they are gonna loose cause they suck. You probably are supporting it cause you had high hopes for it but now it sucks a lot and you don't wanna cry about it.

Guys both beyblades have a “slingshock mode” all the slingshock turbo beys from now on will have a height change like xtend u change it into slingshock mode by twisting the driver than lifting it up and you lock it in place by twisting it again don’t be deceived as now all the drivers will have a mode change similar to achilles driver

Achilles and Valkryie both have slingshock abilities, which is what achilles hole flat actually was. Valkryie also has a similar gimmick where if you pull then twist, volcanic stays in a higher height.

Wow I remember watching you guys in middle school back when beyblade was huge. I was just I still thinking about the channel and u have to say I'm impressed. You guys have really grown a lot. Keep up the good work.

I was just as shocked about the lack of metal but the mode changing drivers to suit different battle styles was a pretty innovative idea. All of the new sling shock drivers can change their height which I think eliminates what makes Z Achilles so unique. But they made up for it with a really entertaining battle system. Yes I’m upset that hasbro strayed so far from takara tomy especially when they’ve been doing so well with their products, but hey at least we’ll still have loads of fun.

Honestly haven't played beyblade since I was in elementary, and I used to have driger, was always a fan of ray in the original anime, now I'm watching this thinking wow beyblades sure have changed... I remember if you knocked out the 2 pins on the bottom of the original beyblades they would burst into 15 pieces haha times sure have changed

I never had beyblade when I was a kid. I’m 31. And i grew up with Pogs and marbles and Pokémon cards. That being said. I have a son that is 4. Now he’s into this and I just bought him this set.. the inner child in me is hyped lol can’t wait to play this with my son and help him on his progress if he continues to enjoy beyblade

before gt was peak for hasbro… they still had the abilities and colors and same designs (tiny changes), no metal was fine. when hypersphere and after came about, it had a huge downfall in looks and quality.

Hey bbg wonder valtryek actually has two modes on the driver as well, so you see all the turbo drivers have two modes where it is flat or taller so that it gets easier to ride the rails. Hopefully this comment was useful to you guys and have a great day thanks.
