My first Beyblade was a Chinese bootleg bought from an underground marketplace in a shady part of the town, which cost me 80% of what I'd have paid for a legit Beyblade, however mine had a low quality, off-center render of a Triceramon for a Bit Beast and was a hollowed out bar or scrap iron, molten into a vaguely Beyblade-like shape that absolutely obliterated everything it met in its path and absolutely cut me dozens of times trying to stop it from legitimately shredding through everyday obstacles. If that ain't good times, I don't know what is!

I recently went on paternity leave and have found myself rewatching old show I watched as a kid and the most recent one has been bayblade. As I’m watching the show I remembered having a bayblade on the gameboy advance and with a quick KZfaq search I found this review, it instantly took me back to the good ole days. If I remember correctly if you lose against somebody they get stronger and that’s why I never finished the game. Great review.

I remembered playing that game as a little kid and man it was hard but as I got a little older my twin brother and older brother gave me some tips about the game on how to customize and use standard attacks. 'Cause I remembered a long time ago, I was so bad at launching and sometimes either miss or break the ripcord and or launcher in this game. Over time I got better and better and rarely loss because I basically know the game by heart and I never used KZfaq on how to beat the game because it was muscle memory to me.

RPM is Revolutions Per Minutes, a full revolution being a full 360 rotation, it's how many times it faces it's original launch direction when spinning, so, simply how fast it's spinning, using an accurate value, RPM is used for things like Helicopter blades and washing machines, if your RPMs are fluctuating and you get off ballance, things may not end well, so for Beyblades it's a cool way to show off how strong your launch is and a good health bar, in engineering, it's the difference between designing something that works just fine, or something that self destructs, that why cars have Rev limiters, the second speedometer with the numbers that goes up into the tens to hundreds of thousands, is your Engine's RPM.

This game was literally the reason why I would spend a lot of time on my pc (playing it on the emulator) as a kid! Like I remember not being able to buy the cartridge and finally playing it on pc was just an incredible feeling. I still remember losing so much cos I didn't know about the boost thing when you let it rip, so yeah, people in the park were hella hard (let's not even talk about Ray 😂😂). Other thing about the engine gear was that it was so broken that it seemed like a must have cheat code to cheese battles, and I loved this gimmick so much that EG beys became my literal faves amongst the toy line! (even to this day, need this gimmick back) Although I must say, though the gameplay is gripping, things could have been a bit better. Like I remember some of the OG Japanese titles which had much different gameplay but they had animated bit beast attacks. They could have done the same here. Would have added a bit more flavor to the battles, because after repeatedly seeing the same attack animations it does kinda get bland when you have your big moment when using your bit beast attack, even though it was hype at the same time. You're right about the story taking a back seat, because they have the HMS blades and also the blades that the members from BEGA used and the BEGA arc wasn't covered. Would have loved it more if the BEGA arc was covered (maybe it was planned as a sequel, or they did intend to drop it in the very same game since the blades are present, we will never know, and that seems like a missed opportunity) Nevertheless, I keep finding myself playing this several times since it was so much fun. I seriously wanted another proper game like the V force game on the GameCube, for G revolution but man we only got this and the Java game. Oh and RPM is Revolutions Per Minute!

RPM is rotations per minute, it is calculated by how many full rotations a bey makes per minutes.

I played the game as a slow kid and just could not get passed the first battle and couldn't find a manual for the game, not that the manual would have helped.

1:40 Beyblades used to be plamos. (Plamo is short for plastic model kit.) Starting with HMS, and Metal Fight, the idea was scrapped. But it’s probably for the best as Beyblade X’s main gimmick is the Xtreme Dash. Plamos wouldn’t last with that.

My main issue with this game is how short it is and how abrupt the ending feels.

Yea just play till the first Tournament finals and once you reach the airport to fly off - just quit, as it gets repetitive & boring.

It’s worth it but it’s like many anime games on gba Super buggy To this day I still find new bugs in old gba games Pokémon yugioh Beyblade in this case too Will add more saying some off the bat - You stop leveling up after a while - You bit beast EXP starts at zero after winning a while after maining it -If you lose the first world tournament KO battles (Rai white 🐅 team) you can glitch the final fights vs Kai and skip all the countries after reentering the stage -Strength is up after eating the apple in each countries gym which is basically post game 😂 -you can play as Daichi and Kenny but DONT because they don’t recover hits so they’ll eventually be 1 hit bar and BREAK=Match Loss (0-3) 😂 Etc Still LOVE this game and play around with different Beyblades and customizations But yeah thank emulation on iOS being opened for extra players but damn short game if you know what you’re doing Still good times ❤

Just stay in a spot near the opponent and charge defense while bumping into him, do this before he cam charge his attack Once you make contact he will lose rpm because you struck him with your defensive barrier while he was either spinning or chargingfor an attack Then initiate a combo via up ☝️down 👇 b button iirc This will maximize the damage you inflict amd minimize the rpm you expend

I had this game as a kid and could never get into it, the mechanics seemed way too obtuse and I kept falling for the """tutorial""" match trap every time I picked up the game again (every few years just to see if it was as tedious as I remembered) Even if you do get into it the battles feel like a slog, you never do anywhere near enough damage even with top tier parts.
