No lawsuits ever stick to Beyoncé because her team does their due diligence! If that local group didn’t copyright their work, this lawsuit is null & void! It appears that Big Freeda did and that’s who Beyoncé paid to use the sample! I feel sorry for them, but they should’ve paid for copyright. A copy right search would’ve let Beyoncé team know who the owners of the original track belonged too. They could’ve gotten paid. They didn’t even copyright the phrase release the wiggle 🤷🏽‍♀️

But they clearly didn’t give a damn when Big freeda did her song back in 2014. So it was clearly ok. Also it sounds very different. Social media and this new weird version of “woke” culture really got people out here thinking they can just get money for stuff they didn’t copyright. These lawyers are racking in because they know they don’t have a leg to stand on for real. This is really their time to make tons of money off of people being stupid. Also it’s just words. The government doesn’t give a damn as long as they get their cut. It’s all a horse and pony show.

Owners of businesses take credit for the ideas of their employees, that’s what makes them efficient. Why should this be any different? This is her business. It’s the selective outrage for me and then the failure for people to own their own stuff and only get mad at the people that look like them when they follow the same rules set before them and followed by others outside the culture! What’s amazing is, Beyoncé used Big Freeda’s sample, but she’s accused of stealing it! Yup 👍 makes sense! NOT! Not even a Beyoncé fan! Just a fan of smart business no matter who’s conducting it!

@@aishanjgirl07 Probably a little bit of both, but if the beat is the issue then NOLA Bounce Music, which largely sounds the same, is replete with copyright violations. They may have a case with their lawsuit, but seeing as though the phrase “release your wiggle” was used so commonly in the lyrics of bounce music it’ll be hard to prove. Moreover, It just seems a tad bit audacious to be suing over words not a single person in the situation invented or put into Webster’s Dictionary 😂😂😂

The lack of music knowledge beyond the so-called 'urban radio" B.S is crazy. How the hell do you not know who the Allman brothers are? The album the driver was referring to is live at filmore east....pleaaasssee give it a listen. Jaimoe is the last original surviving member and he's black just FYI. Music has no color barriers and I can't listen to most of what is played on the radio cause it doesn't knock for me. I'll stick to real musicians but love the convos on the show. There is too many genres for an all time. They should just pick one criteria like influence or popularity and run with that if they are going to try and do an all time list. Like some of the picks seem obscure to those unfamiliar to that genre causing people get mad but then will get mad at other picks saying they are only here for popularity. I agree with Dupree but R&B is also not the most popular genre. Other popular but not the most popular genres got snubbed as well. Country only had 1 album on the list and metal only had 2 albums on the list, so its not just R&B. There is just not enough room for all the different genres of popular music.
