Female artists are required to do this high level artistry to succeed and their counterparts just stand in front of a mic or wave their hands or just shout 'WE THE BEST MUSIC' Gotdamnit.

Blacka Magic but they're better than their male counterparts and also they get dragged just like you're now for not performing like that
@welfare_king3 жыл бұрын
@@nmoomoo well, there aren't really any "male counterparts" to beyonce, tayhoe or Rihanna in the first place. I would argue that it's easier for female artists to get by mainly on their looks (while relying on their mainly male base of songwriters and producers to make hits) while male artists have to actaully have some substantial musical talent.
@blackwidow45643 жыл бұрын
@@welfare_king bruno mars
@car23323 жыл бұрын
@@welfare_king It's more difficult to make it as a female artist BECAUSE you need to be conventionally attractive to be able to open more doors. male artists generally have more leeway with how they look. in general, being physically attractive makes everything easier for anyone, but women have to cater to much more demanding beauty standards. the reason popular female artists are generally pretty is not because they made it because of their looks, but because they have to be talented AND pretty in order to make it. beyonce wrote and produced nearly all of her discography and hits, including some songs from destiny's child. she's very passionate and precise about her craft, so she's very involved with her work, and i don't doubt a lot of female artists are. female artists are generally all-rounders with a wide array of talents (singing, dancing, etc) and much more physically attractive than male artists because they have to go all-out and beyond just to be able to be seen as equal to their male counterparts, which sometimes backfires as people overlook their talents because they are attractive and assume their success comes from their beauty.

I have a few questions all of the people hating on Beyonce and her performances. Although I originally wrote this in response to a specific hater in the comments section it applies to all. Including people who hate the same artists I dislike. What the fuck are you doing watching videos of an artist you hate? I never understand why people watch or read and then comment on things which they hate. Are you a sadomasochist or do you just have such a boring life that all you can do is go find things you hate to comment on? I mean, I can't stand Justin Bieber or Taylor Swift. So I simply don't watch their videos or listen to their music. At a time where there's virtually infinite ways to access music and a virtually infinite variety of music at your literal fingertips it's just ridiculous. There's this thing called free will. Simply don't consume content that you don't like. Beyonce's been with one man for 99% of her adult life who she has 3 kids with that she loves and fights for. Try to understand the difference between a woman owning their sexuality while being proud of her body and a woman who has nothing to contribute but her body. Perpetuating the ideology that any woman who shows off her body is simply a whore/slut/classless is simply objectifying women. Beyonce owns her sexuality instead of having men objectify her. For this she receives more disrespect than artists who do only shake their asses. She receives more disrespect for this than strippers and sex workers. Mind you, disrespecting strippers and sex workers simply feeds into the patriarchal ideology that when women are objectified it makes them inferior while the character of the men who objectify them is never questioned. People who believe that any woman who exposes her body is than worth less or worthless is simply perpetuating the patriarchal system in which men own, control and choose the worth of women. America is the most sexually repressive and conservative developed nation in the world. When one of Janet Jackson's nipples was exposed it damn near shutdown television while America decided how to prevent a nipple ever being shown on TV again. Yet after The SuperBowl this year they debuted a show featuring gunfights and graphic violence. When GTA 3 came out America only had a problem once it was exposed that you could play a simulated sex scene. That created a larger controversy than the fact that you can viciously and graphically murder countless people. A PG-13 movie can show graphic violence while an R-rated movie can't even show full frontal nudity. And America has the highest rates of sex crimes, sexual assault, rape, unplanned pregnancies, teen pregnancies and STDs of any developed nation. So America looks at women as sexual objects while looking down upon women who own their own sexuality. Beyonce's so classless that she's inspired and empowered millions of women and people of color around the world while investing millions in African-American art and culture and communities. So classless that she puts many of her people through college each year. So classless that female leaders, activists and heads of state around the world admit Beyonce inspired them to achieve greatness. She's so classless that she debuted a song of African-American and female empowerment at The SuperBowl. An event larger audience of straight, white American men then any other event in the world. She's so classless and so limited to shaking her ass that when she released Lemonade and Adele won The Grammy for Album of The Year Adele used her acceptance speech to say that Beyonce deserved the award more than her and that the album she won for was actually inspired by Beyonce's work. How many of those things have her haters achieved with all of their class? She's got more talent and class in her fingernails than 90% of mainstream performers alive. Man or woman. She's the most iconic musical and performance artist since Michael was in his prime. She's so iconic that there's a $400 million ultra-luxury condo being made in Australia that's design was inspired by her figure and how she looked in one of her iconic music video's. That's according to the words of the architect themselves. Not how she looked in a bikini or booty shorts mind you. But how she looked in a full gown. So iconic that she's the only global touring artist in history to have a full backing band and dance crew made up entirely of women of color. Including plus size women. So iconic that she became the first women to have a featured permanent display in The Rock n Roll Hall of Fame. So iconic that she became the first woman of color to headline America's highest profile music festival which then sold out in record time only to bring in the highest gate sales in the events history and break the live streaming record for said event. How many of those things have her detractors achieved with all of their talent? If shaking your ass was all it took to achieve what she's achieved then there would be millions of others who would have achieved the same things. There have been countless performers who came before her or since she started her career. Not a single one has come close to her success. If you think all she can do is shake her ass you're either ignorant or just a hater. So bye Felicia, you better call Becky so y'all can hate together.
