This is the very same kind of performance Beyonce always makes,.. Legend or no Legend, Beyonce's products are still sounds the same, the praises are forced to be there, the fans love are there to comment. But there is something missing about her performance.... GROWTH... Music is not only about her sexuality and vocals, but considering the fact that she is passing a strong message to youngster and at the same time dressed provocatively is contracting... To some, its fashion or art, but its all in her head to know what it means. I wasn't able to consume the song performance cos i wasn't feeling it... Well it is what it is. She has done her part for us and for the OSCARS.

Beyoncé is currently the best live performer of our generation. Her performance of Be Alive was the best performance of the show. No matter how good she does, there will always be someone you cannot impress. As I mentioned before "you really cannot please everyone."

@@kingmatolo8381 Honestly, there will always be people you cannot please... That phrase has been on board for years, but at a point put a little consideration when reading before replying. I for one am a huge fan to a point, but if what i pointed out can be looked down, then it means you all just hang around just eager for praises. FYI beyonce is not the best performer in our generation currently or before time, she is one of the best, but not the best. That's what they want you to think. Her BE ALIVE performance is no doubt good, but it sounds the same both from her tours and other arts... This is Beyonce's realm very thing is good no matter how it could affect the youngsters. Accept it, Swallow it, and Move on with it.

Legend indeed, that's what they want you to see. The Academy Awards for the past 3 years have been losing viewers badly. Beyonce and the Will Smith/Chris Stoker slap was used for this show for ratings. All these things are staged and she and Jay hosted the after party.. You see its a win win. For you fans, its like THE QUEEN IS BACK, but the cabals know about the ish behind the show.

In my opinion -- and it tends me an unpopular opinion, at times -- it seems like record label execs are passing out record deals like their participation trophies at a Pop Warner game. And when it comes to R&B realm, folks are hyping up mediocre entertainers because "_the white entertainers get to be mediocre too_ " and it is terrible. Then they're surprised, when these artists aren't professional and business-driven.

@@leahkariti4545 I believe the instrumental bump in “Freedom” is mainly kick drum & snare in the verse and then kick drum and cymbal in the chorus. However, the instrumental bump in both “RTA” & “Be Alive” are mainly kick drum, high hat and bass guitar (which is the main element that differentiates them). There are other layers to it, but those are the distinct sounds we hear that make it feel familiar. 😇

Beyoncé is getting more fierce and fearless the older she gets. She’s untouchable and unstoppable at age forty and doesn’t have to prove a dam thing to anyone. She wrote the song for the movie King Richard, and if anyone has seen it; you’ll understand why it’s so powerful in message and visual level. Blue Ivy is dancing in front of her mother at the 5 minute mark and is also sitting in front of Beyoncé (center) at the end. Beyoncé is also paying homage to the Williams sisters and their tennis careers and how their father, mother and entire family sacrificed to make Serena and Venus the undisputed tennis champions to be reckoned with world over. The lime green (tennis ball color) and her live performance in Compton speaks to Beyoncé’s black cultural awareness and commitment to showcasing our black people and culture to the world. Beyoncé next album is going to be EPIC on a whole other level!!!

I think I figured out why that melodic line sounds so familiar. It’s in the same key as Freedom when she performed it for Homecoming. Wouldn’t be surprised to see a mashup of those two songs if we get another tour. I think this is what you’re talking about around 8:00 in

It was the beginning of this video for me! However we didn’t know we missed Beyoncé until Beyoncé decides to grace us with this legendary performance.
