Beyonce sang two songs, including 'Halo,' during her tribute. Both Beyonce and her husband, Jay-Z, were close friends of the Bryant family.

JD D plus she said Halo is his favorite song. For a memorial you have to sing with a purpose. I was here has no resolution other than I was here. Although it would sort of fit it would be somber and depressing because he is no longer here. Halo leaves you with a resolution of the Halo being there in the end. And that leaves you with a sense of resolve in spite of the sad circumstances.

The memorial service was very pleasant my prayers go out to Vanessa her daughters and the other family members that was on the plane too I was very sad that no one acknowledged Kobe Parents without them regardless of their differences like every family have Had it not be for his parents there would have been no Kobe 🙏🏽for healing

I met Kobe and his beautiful family in 2013 at the staples center at Beyonce concert during the BET EXPERIENCE. Such a nice guy. He knows how much he was loved by the fans. Of course we all know Kobe is a legend and he could have easily sat anywhere he wanted to but he came and sat right with the fans and he also had a bodyguard with him. I was fortunate enough to get him shaking my hand on video and also have a few pictures of him and his family. It's just very sad that's he gone so soon. This still doesn't seem real. May God bless his family as well as the families of the others that passed away.

Felicia Covington well, xo and halo she usually performs on a different key, which she kinda lowered for this performance. Also, take into account there's moments when she sounds flat for beyoncé standards. That usually happens when you're feeling emotional and therefore you're unable to have full control over your voice. I didn't say she was necessarily bawling her eyes out 🤷🏻♂️ that's not the only sign of emotion taking over

I love her. I find it so hard to listen to her songs because she brings me to tears. I’ve lost my mom in 96 to cancer, my dad in 99 to a broken heart, my brother in 2010 after beating cancer he chocked in his sleep and just recently my sister and the left her passing as undetermined, in 1985 I lost my 7 year old brother in a house this was all by the age of 37. I’m now 39 and my heart is so broken. Once I’m back at work I will go see her. R.I.P Kobe and Your beautiful daughter. My thoughts and prayers are truly with the family and his parents.
