Since this involves TG, I’m just gonna reveal everything that you guys may want to know about some events that have you a little confused. The information I’m about to relay to you is exceedingly significant for you to be able to understand most of what is actually happening, so make sure to read ‘til the end. Regarding the Tomodachi Game boss, it’s Masakazu Shibe. In Chap. 34, he has a talk with his son, young Shibe. He questions him about his relationship with the police detective’s daughter, Shiho-this is an extremely important subject for him, as knowing this would potentially allow Masakazu to make the decision to use Shibe to carry out his plan of fishing out Mr. Sawaragi and his group by taking advantage of the friendship between these two. However, Shibe was obviously not going to have any part in this, so he faked his death (for a reason that even I can’t be completely certain on) and had his son falsely arrested for the ‘murder’ of his father, likely made to look believable by sacrificing one of his (by his, I obviously mean Masakazu) workers’ own blood and had Shibe painted with it to obtain a more believable effect. After doing this, he then contacted Shinji to have Mr. Sawaragi’s daughter kidnapped. This is because, according to his suspicions, the police detective was investigating him at the time. To reel-in this man, break him and ultimately have total control over him and his status, he had Shinji do everything necessary to establish a firm connection with the man by torturing his daughter and giving him a couple conditions to work with. Moreover, he became the bitter and unemotional masterpiece that Masakazu was hoping to achieve… a person who became inevitably chained by his regret and guilt, a being who feels like his only purpose left in life is to submit to the demands of his blackmailer (I say blackmailer because I’m sure that Shinji would’ve been cunning enough to have _him_ inflict those wounds on his child as he could use this against him if he decides to betray his conditions of survival via assisting with future objectives, provided the threat that she’d be dead by his own hand if he can’t bring himself to injure her). In Chap. 100, we see Yuuichi telling Masakazu that, despite his wealth, he was the first to complain among the five friends who participated in the Tomodachi Game alongside him-“In other words, money was more important to you than friends.”. After that, his marriage with his wife had most probably came to an end, and he had become mentally ill and twisted. He started swindling many people, one of his victims being Kokorogi. He then decided to recuperate losses by coming up with a show involving Manabu, which didn’t do well due to it being too violent, so he had instead worked on a manga (with Kokorogi being the artist) to do just that. There’s no hint as to whether this worked out for him in the slightest or not, so I’ll leave it at that. After kid Yuuichi broke his spirit, he had plotted to break _him,_ using Kokorogi to put the plan into motion. He profited off of Yuuichi’s concept, and he was fortunately able to succeed due to gaining money and influence. He essentially became the next Shiba Taizen, in a way. Furthermore, I believe that the reason why he had Shiho become an overseer during the gambling arc is to indirectly manipulate her friends into believing that she was the traitor instead of Kokorogi, which was a very genius play on his part. Shiho even says this: “This is all… to protect my most important thing.”. Shinji was probably just there to see how things would play out. Although Kokorogi wasn’t able to keep the facade going until the very end, he’s giving her another chance in this final game. If she can’t manage to destroy Yuuichi Katagiri, then she’ll be the one to die if Satone’s premonition comes true. He’ll discard as if she were just some rusty, old tool that could no longer perform its intended purpose. Regarding Yuka, I believe that the reason why Yuuichi killed her is because she was the one manipulating Yuuichi and Taizen all along. Her idea of ‘friendship’ was never one of purity. She values friends, not because she’s a warm and innocent soul who treasures relationships and family, but because she treasures the fact that it could be a gateway to earning her lots and lots of free income. Noticing how beneficial and profitable the two were, she kept them by her side and even proposed to Taizen the offer of either *marriage* or *her own body* for him to keep on supporting her with his riches. This is why Yuuichi says “I’m gonna pretend I didn’t hear that.”, and then uses his ability to manipulate to literally _break her mind._ From what I can guess, that would be the closest thing to directly finishing her off. *Now… this is when things get tricky.* Going back on the topic of who the boss is, I still believe it’s Masakazu-although something _really intriguing_ that I’ve failed to notice is that, when Masakazu mentioned Shiho and Wataru in front of Shibe, it seemed as if he wasn’t too familiar with these names from the way he spoke… and, something even more important to note is that _Shiho had already acquired that scar before Masarazu had gotten arrested for his dodgy practises,_ which obviously means that this was an event occurring _before_ Masakazu spoke about getting rid of Shiho to force Wataru to step down… which can only mean one thing-this would put a fairly big dent in this theory of mine, unless there is _another_ adversary who we should stop to consider. As Tsukino had told Yuuichi in Chap. 28, the boss *doesn’t seek money* from this particular game, although it’s still wise to acknowledge that he’s the only money-hungry candidate other than Taizen who despises him the most. Furthermore, Yuuichi told Shiho in Chap. 101, the “real story was much worse and hellish”, and so I’m assuming that Yuuichi applied what he did to Yuka as mentioned in Chap. 116 to Masakazu-he must’ve thought that this would effectively get rid of him, though Yuuichi only succeeded in partially breaking him rather than completely shattering him into an innumerable amount of pieces. It kind of makes sense that he’d only be focusing on revenge, especially because of what the boss had said to expand on Yuuichi’s abduction in Chap. 116. It makes more sense to assume that Masakazu’s thirst for money would play a big role in his excitement for revenge, though we’d still need to speculate on the truth behind Shiba Shibji’s motivator for kidnapping Shiho many years back, the reason behind him having to do so and who tasked him with performing this daring action. Just for emphasis, I want to remind you that Masarazu didn’t know who the police detective investigating him was until he told his house-keeper (yeah, the same girl who testified against Shibe in the trial) to look it up. It’s even more suspicious that he had nothing to say about his past friendship with Wataru. Is there really another troublesome fellow working behind the scenes whom we’re almost totally unaware of? Would this mystery person be Tenji’s father, as the boss is apparently someone who’s close with Tenji, or Taizen since Tenji’s father is supposedly dead? We don’t know of Tenji’s relationship with Taizen, so it’s a definite possibility. All of this is so interesting to think about, especially because there are pretty much an infinite number of possibilities. Some other not-so-important stuff that I’d like to bring up is the potential hidden message behind the themes of these games, and if there’s anything for us to decipher that could lead us closer to the truth, how Kokorogi had such easy access to dangerous people like Kuroki, Subaru Gaku and Shiba Shinji, and not to mention her cleverly subtle schemes of deception in Chap. 115 to get Yuuichi to spill a secret or two by confidently stating that she knew all of the answers. She’s as cunning as people give her credit for, and it’s pretty evident in her acting skill. In conclusion, this would be about 60-70% of everything you guys would probably be keen on understanding! Also by far B takes combat, went head on w/ Naomi, a capoeira practitioner and FBI agent, Yuuichi has little to no combat feats.
