27 year TBI survivor here from a bad car wreck on 3/31/97... I was in the hospital for 26 days and in Physical Therapy for 18 months... I struggle with repeating myself,dysregulation,poor multitasking skills,poor short term memory etc... I attempted and failed at several careere post TBI-( Special Education Teacher,Car Salesman,911 Radio Dispatcher)... The combination of TBI issues,PTSD issues and Career Failures led to increased Depression,Anxiety and Suicidal Thoughts... I now have a somewhat decent quality of life... I FINALLY recieved SSDI-( Social Security Disability Income ) after 15 years,4 appeals and 3 attorneys... I now drive for a car dealership part time and build model cars as a hobby... These activities bring meaning to my life,help me deal with my TBI and PTSD issues,and improve my self esteem...

Hi. I'm Mike tbi from getting jumped in 2000. Long story short I'm autistic epileptic, and PTSD. I'm looking for a Dr other than my Suboxone Dr, who's taking me off Klonopin, I been on Klonopin for 25 years. I was a junkie till four years ago, now on one one milligram Klonopin and two Suboxone a day plus elavil fifty mg a day. Can't explain texting but my phone should be on soon any info on dealing with tbi and trouble, I can't get a job cause I'm internet illiterate pretty much.God bless you and have a great day mp in Florida

Thank you for your service. Try having a brain injury without being a vet. You cannot find a doctor that will believe you. I wish you all the best in your recovery.

I had a catastrophic Brian injury, no matter that i am just a civillian, i understand thé type of démons and challenges these heroes of mine have To face , 5 yrs later i have finally got To thé point that i could partially control my emotions...may i somehow get Well enough one day To be able To help these vaillant heroes ! Cant wé all find it in our hearts To do thé best wé can for these men !

Sorry should have said Men and Wemon gender has nothing to do with being a hero the true strength to be a hero starts in the heart not the gender, I have seen weak and strong hearts in both genders so there are heroes and villains on both sides of the coin
