What we perceive to be the edge of our universe is not the actual edge of the universe, with most scientists in agreement that more space lies hidden beyond what we're able to see. Last time out, we travelled to the very edge of our observable universe. But today, we will be going even farther, as we wade out into the darkness of the unobservable universe.

It's ten minutes to 3 in the morning. There's a blizzard raging outside and i'm curled up in bed under many blankets watching this video. 4D Hyper Torus fan here. One simple reason. "As above, so below. As below, so above" All around us, on every level we can see, the nature of things is cyclical. An explanation that jives with that is simply best. The Universe is expanding, and indeed accelerating from our point of view. Without knowing exactly how, I know that it won't continue to do it forever. That's like a crest without a trough, a light without dark, a yin without yang. Nothing works that way. Nothing.
@dryfox11
@dryfox11 Жыл бұрын
This is my main theory for why the “big bang” happened. If every other observable process is cyclical, why not universal creation? Who’s to say gravity doesn’t eventually pull all matter together after the heat death and explode back into a fresh new universe? Then again, it’s a theory subject to change, but it’s the best i can come up with.

"Arille stood closely static as uncle Lao stayed frozen on his magnetic glass amplifier. A dedicated worker as the best, Lao spent the best of his eternal years writting down on his clay tablets, handling them to his assistant drone as she steadily handed them to Lao's students, each of them tasked to decipher the near undescribable writings telepathically to the astronomers below, as they rallied to compare their findings and tell their opinions back to Lao and then Arille, as the later an apointee to take on her uncle's noblest mission to understand the darkness beyond. Feeling his biological time running out, Lao told them all to take the dark eon off, and amidst a wave of surprised thoughts, he closed his mind off and told his niece to follow him to his favorite spot to think. In a great highness beyond what any creature could think, as they sat in its immeasurable edge, Lao interceded any questions: "In my greatest dreams, I have seen what this majestic universe holds. Lands beyond our understanding and even physical grasp, unendless wells of suffocating darkness, and eternal emptiness of breathing light; I have even witnessed the deities that tower over our understanding of what is, and carelessly trample over creation, destroying and transforming matter. It is unfortunate that none but you have faith in my old wisdom, but I have nobody else to rest this as I spend my last eternity before becoming One with Them", he said, lost in thought, as Arille was unaware of the nightmare of hope she would inherit. "This Existence, everything we know and ever will, _curves around itself, and no matter how far even a thousand dynasties of us walk over it,_ *its wonders will repeat forever and ever, far after we're the dust".* Arille looked upward, to where uncle Lao gazed with a smile, and gazed at the eternal lights, with an inate wonder born within for the first time since birth; those lights that have always been and will always be, and shortly after, she followed her uncle, pondering on her future, on that of astronomical science, _and back down from the highest dried oak branch into their humble anthill below."_ Thank you, SEA, for the amazing insight on how insignificant we are to spacetime.

It's interesting to realize we live in the past, that we only react to what we perceive as now a fraction of a second ago. The farther away we can detect light, the more obvious this becomes. yet at the same time: The light we perceive perceives no distance, no time. To the perspective of a photon it is transmitted and received in the same instant. Both of these realities are entangled and quite true.

also, everything we know of is moving relative to everything else: systems, galaxies, strings, etc. If everything is moving and spinning then it is probable that if the universe is expanding it is also rotating. But as far as we can tell the universe if flat? We're looking billions of years into the past relative to our position...

@Human Being Yet, cannot physically place anything/travel into the past...only can we view light from said past. Such an oxymoron it seems. Light/radiation be all like: "Yeah, I come from 450 million years ago. What?! You can't even look back at yesterday? You guys are so far behind, wow!" Lol.

The visuals in this video are absolutely stunning and really help to bring the concept to life. I especially appreciated the explanations of the various theories and phenomena being discussed, as it really helped me to better understand the complex concepts being presented. Overall, this is a fantastic educational resource and I would highly recommend it to anyone interested in learning more about the mysteries of the universe. Great work!

Even if we started expanding as fast as we could, we'll probably never go beyond our galaxy local group. The expansion of space time will take away all the other galaxy clusters beyond the observable limit. Light speed is too slow to explore the universe.

Very enjoyable. I’m just an infotainment seeker but this glued together so many bits and pieces that I felt like an expert for a moment. Whilst we may never know what’s beyond our visible universe, the fact that some can conceive plausible descriptions and communicate them so lay people can understand-ish, says it may not be impossible and so-what if it is.

I think that no matter how far we go any direction, for any amount of time, we would only see stars and galaxies, things at our scale. We'll never see something different to this. Like if you were the size of an atom, and went through a human beings b ody, then out of it and into the air. The density / consistency might change, but you're still only going tosee atoms. You would have to scale up to our size, to see things with more of a grand, purposeful structure.

@@ArrakisMusicOfficial Well, intelligence can evolve and start understanding things beyond it's natural limits. Most fishes only know about water, some of them jump briefly and fall back in ocean so they have idea of air. Some become amphibious and start exploring the muddy shores, but have no idea of Mountains, Islands, Deserts, Earth Crust, the Solar System. We are getting there, but still long way to understand different dimensions to have grasp to scale of Universe.

You're right. If I've discovered a 10 million km stretch of road and it disappears over the horizon, I wouldn't expect to find anything else except maybe more road over the edge. Especially since the scientists that start jumping up and down at any horizon don't know anymore than anyone else about why this road is 10 million km, what it' made of, where it's going...if you have no answers to any of these, it's just more road genius.
