Might want to check your fishing rod. From how many shelfish your catching, I think you have a shelfish lure equipped. If that's the case you might catch more fish if you take off the shelfish lure. Maybe even more fish if you equipped a fish specific lure. Financially you probably can't afford new lures so if you do have a crayfish lure of some sort equipped, removing it would likely help catch more actual fish. I bought the game but my pc was stolen so I can't play it so I'm not 100% sure. Most of my comments are more my thoughts than factually accurate information so I apologize if I'm wrong sometimes.
