It's fascinating how much detail goes into each stalk. Seeing the stalk being put together allowed us to appreciate the details you put into it more fully. Thank you for doing the tutorial and voice over, even though it wasn't in your comfort level. It was pretty darn cool!! 😎🎃 💛

This tutorial is great. I love how you really looked at how corn grows in order to make realistic stalks. I tried decorating with real cornstalks outside one year, but the deer, raccoons, and turkey ripped them down and ate them! Maybe some judicious spraying with polyurethane would help these last outside.

Went to the papercraft store and they do not have it listed as a product either.

Awesome tutorial! Could a person use a single 3" wide strip of masking tape or would that be a bit too narrow? I want to make about 100 cornstalks so rolls of tape can add up quickly.
@angiefrantz

It would probably still work for you, but it's more about which rolls cost more to buy. Try buying the masking tape in bulk for a better price maybe. I would have loved to use wider tape but it was too costly.

Excellent tutorial. How much time to make each one?
@angiefrantz
@angiefrantz 6 жыл бұрын
Robert Fogelin good question, but that really depends on a few factors, how much detail the stalk needs- is it one in the front row that needs extra care because it's seen up close? Also how many leaves you decide to add, and if you make the tassels from scratch or not. How you make the corn cobs - if you buy premade, easy, if your making those, add more time. I cast mine from real corn so it was time.consuming. Let's call it an hour on average if you have all your supplies at the ready. They aren't quick to produce, but not much is if you want it to wow people when they see it. 😊
