Have you played Operations? I played one match with randoms...all had mics (PC) and it was great...we were defending. Luckily I watched Neebs video on how it works as I would have been lost. Felt VERY EPIC!!!

Dennis Germany had African colonies, that's why there are black soldiers on the German faction. Most black soldiers never fought in this theater though, so it's most likely Dice trying to be politically correct

It's a bit broken at the moment. I've gotten way over 100 kills since the community mission started and I still don't have the skin.

I got it after like two matches... Check here ---> battlelog.battlefield.com/bf4/communitymissions/ that will tell you how many M1911 kills you need to get the skin. Once you have the 100 kills, you need to click claim reward.

Obviously the skin will only be available in BF1, but I got the battlepack already.

Its good for immersion and DICE is putting an emphasis on historical accuracy in BF1. If they didnt care about that we would be seeing the invasion of England by the Germans in 1919 or the battle for Paris.

They do seem harder, there are different rarities so while the common ones are easy the legendary ones are harder to come by. And then with having to collect parts to make a melee weapon, that might make the grind a bit longer. I would much rather them extend this system and make the maps free.

WesleyAlvesGames Probably, in the beta there wasn't many customization options so they made it harder to unlock new things. It should be easier in the full game

It was bugged in the beta because you wouldn't get progress unless it was your first match in a server, and now it's not like that and you always get progress for the class you play as. BUT since it's now the full game and they don't want everybody to unlock everything too quickly, it does take a while to level up. I've been playing almost always as Medic and Scout and neither have gotten to rank 1 yet. It's slow process but it's at least doable. I'll have to see if anybody found a way to level up quicker.

I think there was a bug in the beta relating to leveling up. It will most likely be fixed, so yes it will be much easier

visual recoil is actually a thing in every battlefield, even in bf3 and hardline was, that's because in every bf, bullets are firing from the camera component and not the gun itself, so if the gun is animated, in moment of firing it should be lined up with the camera, if it's not, you may notice that something is wrong, because bullets go straight, but gun is pointing different direction, that means you're aiming with the camera and not the gun, if you fire single shots it's not a problem, because until next shot, animation will be over and gun will be lined up again, problem is with continuous firing, in bf3 there was first shot animation and then slightly horizontal swaying when continue firing, but that sway was too little and it started after a while when gun had already too much spread, so it felt naturally, in hardline there was even less swaying, but in bf4 that sway was not only horizontal but also vertical and it was too much so it was too noticable, it felt random and you just knew that bullets go different direction than your gun is pointing, so they patched it and made reticle fixed to the camera but animation stayed, at one side it felt more realistic because reticle on holographic sight is not drawned in the middle of the optics like it was in bf3 and hardline, but on the other hand it should move in respect to gun angle compare to camera position what wasn't the case in bf4 post patch, so it still may feel unnatural but at least you know where you're shooting at, with ironsight problem stayed but who plays bf4 without some optics right? bf1 use completely new set of animations and it's only the question if you feel that bullets go where the gun is pointing, from beta, i would say that it's worse than bf3 but better than bf4, it's definitely playable and i had no problems so far

Hardcore is all i play too. Hit markers are just stressful. and with the time to kill being extended in this game with the automatic weapons shooting bullets at a slower rate i feel like hardcore is gonna be perfect

They want you to know that black soldiers fought and died in this war too, despite the fact that this is too often glossed over and ignored in history classes. If I'm not mistaken, the race of your soldier is a combination of your class and your faction. It's not a quota, it's just diversity.

monkChuck105 The guy on the cover is a Harlem Hellfighter, and it's great they're recognizing them in the game and it makes sense there. But forcing diversity in the German forces on the western front is nothing more than appeasing the PC. In the beta there was only one Caucasian in the British forces, which they changed because they probably realized they were going overboard. It's obvious pandering, especially with all the accusations of "white washing" being thrown around in the entertainment industry, and that bothers me.
