Sorry, I didn't mean resolution quality. I plan to keep HD for all my videos from here on out. I was talking about how much time I spend editing to make really nice cut scenes, still images, slow motion, zoom effects on long range targets and that kind of stuff. This video is an example of something thrown together in about an hour. My regular series of video usually take 20-40 hours of editing to get the really nice presentation all together and cohesive with a nice flow.

That's the route I was thinking of going, but I wanted to see how my viewers responded to the idea of less editing. So far everyone agrees that quality is the way to go.

You are very welcome. I had alot of problems like you were talking about but when I tried it on a different drive that was more for just storage rather than for my game to run off of or my os it would record like a dream without any problems. I hope it helps you alot. also you are a GREAT SHOT. I tried getting use to the sniper in BF but it was kind of hard to get use to the time it takes for the bullet travel.

I think you just summed up everyones feelings on the matter. I wasn't looking to spam a ton of videos, just lower the quality a notch so that I could increase total content uploaded. No worries, Quality is what everyone wants, so I will be sticking with the previous format.

BF3 series is called Recon Field Manual, check my channel. BF4 series will probably hold the same title when I start making them.

Oh I have been waiting when you were going to release a bf4 video with anxiety. Cant wait to see another new recon field manual. At this point I see how good this new laser designator suits recon for locating remoted targets. Honestly, I would prefer those kind of videos you used to produce before - more or less comprehensive videos covering large pieces of information. But I understand how much time you spend on making one. I wouldn't whine about lowered quality if you chose this way.

I played PR multiple times over the years. Mostly back in version 0.3 and 0.6? I think. My biggest problem there was the lack of interest from my regular gaming crew. They burned out of it fast and left me alone with it. Its really difficult to stay in a game solo when you can hear over TS that your crew is having fun somewhere else. Those that like PR, I always refer to ArmA. Because ArmA is what PR is trying to be, without the limitation of the BF2 engine.

The high quality stuff are great but i do also like short clipps, you decide!

Hard to say, this map was really short range. I think my longest shot was only about 350 meters.

I think this looks fine but I do really enjoy your top quality pieces, I think when you're out of time to do those top quality vids, you could put up something like this.

There is no other youtuber that can come even close to u when it comes to BF/bfbc content! ( Quality)

Playing PR with friends is always fun, but actually the latest PR version has a local voice chat program integrated into the game, making it possible to chat with other teammates even out of your squad. There's never been a big problem in PR of finding good pubbies to play with solo.

Just to update you Ryan-I installed it on my Rig, and I have 2 Titans in SLI and don't get that much slowdown, but Running Shadowplay was so smooth, and so much less of an impact on performance then using fraps, afterburner or the others....

I prefer your nicely refined videos but I would enjoy some quick edits if they didn't interfere with your regular high tier videos.

how about little of both quick videos are nice but i dont want you to give up on your quality videos either,i have been watching your sniping school videos since well since battlefield 2 modern warefare on ps2 i love the quality of your videos but i would love you to have fun instead of spending alot of time on editing when you could be playing or with your family,thanks for teaching the basics of sniping ryandpahl

Hmm,a couple of things you could do: a)If you're using fraps,try some other recorder. I would recommend Mirillis Action! recorder(with it I can record BFBC2 on shit PC). b)What CPU do you have? if you still own the Phenom II x6 1100T,make sure it's running nicely(not overheating). c)Stress-test your RAM and GPU. maybe your PSU is not providing enough power to your GPU/CPU/RAM to run smoothly. Make sure you have at least 550W 80+ PSU. Have a nice day :D :D

*IMO* I prefer your high quality stuff. I'd rather just wait than have lower quality videos.

I like the HQ stuff but if it messes up your play than just do the low stuff

Quality doersn't really matter..... make it just 460p You are a great Sniper..... Not just Pro, but Realistic, I like your skills, and watching it is more fun than seeing 1080p HD video game where a sniper snapsnipes people and runs around the Battle Field like a rabbit ready to be hunted.

Fewer Content, Higher Quality which ultimately = more time to plan out how you wish to approach each vid Ryan. Ultimately I must consider your enjoyment as well when recording. If higher quality causes suffering while playing then low quality all the way.

Are you using Fraps? Also have you tried having it save to a second hard drive that isnt being used for your os or game? I find that helps alot.

You should give a new try now that 1.0 is out, it's more polished than the previous versions :)

i am still using my gtx 580 with the beta nvidia driver it was ok but studdering made sniping really hard, the problem was for nvidia cards. i really like high quality however i think you should put together some not so good if you want to

Ryandpaul i suggest you use a special software called handbrake that will compress your videos by almost 90% but the quality will still be there. You should use handbrake on your raw footage, render your video and then use handbrake again. Did i mention its free?! Yes its free!!!

Quantity we can get elsewhere. It's not as if you have to unsub whenever you want to subscribe to someone else's. So I do rather have you do your usual quality pretty please. Now you're the one doing it, so if it's soooo long you don't enjoy it anymore, have it your way.

just do whatever you feel like if you feel like having fun just do a little less editing and when you want to make it look really good for us and yourself ofcourse then make it high quality

I really like your high effort high quality series, but saying that, it doesn't mean that you can't occasionally do more videos like this. I don't think they have to be mutually exclusive..

he didnt mean the resulution. he means the content of the video. more like hey i playing bf today and schow you how to do or like the tutorials that already excist at his channel.

I have a proposal for you, which really should all be satisfied. make lets plays, they require little work. then you can use the material without live comments to create the usual videos. otherwise I would be for quality rather than quantity, thanks for your work and time :)

Hello Ryan-Why don't you check this new feature out with the newest Nvidia driver software before you make your decision. It's called shadowplay by Nvidia. Just look up NVidia shadowplay on KZfaq. Best thing is its free....
