If you're playing a game where you can't find a functional squad and constantly feel like you're alone vs the enemy team, play behind your teammates with a mid-long range weapon and equip a 3x scope on it. You'll feel much more useful while relying less on squadmates. The Bren Gun, Gewehr 43 and ZH-29 are my favorites for this.

My favorite tip which you display but don't say is to utilize the practice range. My game has been steadily improving since I picked the habit of warming up for a few minutes on the range. I don't hear/see many players advocate for it but I want DICE to upgrade it so that all weapons and specializations can be used there.

I think the health management tip is a huge one. The only time I heal when I could just regen is if I NEED that full health. I see people healing when they've taken literally 2 damage from a little fire on the ground and I cringe. Knowing when and which targets to engage, is another really good tip. In fact, it's so important, I may even label is as an advanced tip, or at least advanced level of importance. I guess I could add a tip to it to make it advanced. Pay attention to where your team is and what they're doing. Too many times, I get my position revealed by a trigger happy team mate when I'm on a flank. Try not only to keep your own position secure, but that of your team mates as well. I have 2 tips to add. First, know when to deploy your bipod and when not to. This goes for ALL weapons with bipods, from LMGs, the ZK383, any sniper or SLR with a bipod from the spec tree and even the MMGs and AT rifles. If you have time to bipod and get that accuracy, do it. But you need to know when you can't. All too many times I see MMG players running around and I get the edge on them and they try to drop. It's so predictable and the delay gets them killed 99% of the time. Unless the enemy is at medium range, all the MMGs are accurate enough with their enhanced hip fire to compete with most of the weapons, unless the enemy has a mid-high ROF SMG. And if you are very close to someone with a weapon like that, most of the MMGs have high enough fire rates to beat them too. If you get caught at the threshold of short-medium range with an MMG, bursting works with them too. Don't just hold that trigger. Do controlled bursts and you may just win. There's a reason my favorite thing to do is run around with the 1200 RPM MG42 ;) The AT rifles too. They shoot pretty straight in enhanced hip fire. I love surprising people with a meaty 1 shot in close quarters. My second tip is pretty advanced. Pay attention to enemy outfits, weapons and names. If the best guy on the other team is wearing a helmet and gray clothes, using an STG, keep note of that. If you see them, you'll know that you need to work a little harder to beat them. As for names, this is most useful when defending a position. If you're holding a spot and you kill someone, check their name. Keep an eye on the scoreboard to see if they've respawned or not. If they're an average or better player and they see you haven't moved much from where you killed them, they'll probably come back for revenge. Knowing that they're alive gives you a big advantage.

AT Rifles are especially deadly with their hip-fire, haven't experimented to much with the MMGs. I actually find myself recognising players during matches not only by their outfits but the positions they are playing and their movement. Very useful when trying to understand if you are about to go up against a CQB SMG or long-range ZH-29.

My father is like a beast with impact grenades, he is the only person I know to truly utilize it, he seems to always find an unpopular weapon's true potential edit: With the intermediate tip on lying prone to reduce damage from explosions ( 6:50 ) I think that also explains why I survived the explosion from a JB-2 edit 2: Also if you crouch and walk, it makes you very silent, very good for ambushes in urban areas or CQC(Close Quarters Combat), but very good in general, just make sure to strike at the right time, but don't be too patient or you will become the sitting duck, but don't strike too early, good against tanks especially, also good for those recon class players and those crack commando assaults.

great vid, man! but then they always are ; ) the jump to high level play is all about prediction and planning imho. a common example is when you're in a fight with an enemy where you both have cover, lets say around the outside of a house, you duck back behind cover - PREDICTION: enemy will be waiting for you to peek - PLAN: quickly run around and flank. ultimately, it's about knowing how the enemy will behave and using this knowledge to become unpredictable yourself, giving you a massive advantage by controlling the flow of the battle!

@@tater4462 well if you compare the STEN to all other weapons in the game you will find it does not really hold a candle to any of them simply by looking at engagements from 0-30m you are somewhat capable but will loose out to all but the Ribeyrolles. now the tommy will give you an edge from 0-15ish meters but that is about it and then again you are even more limited then all other classes. but hey lets just buff the support and assault more am i right:)

I formerly used a 3x scope for the STG44, it was accurate for medium and often long ranged engagements but the main drawback was close range engagements against enemies that had superior weapons in terms of close range combat. The delay of aiming down the sights and the inferior hip fire would make you lose against most 1v1’s against weapons such as SMG and shotguns at close range.
