there's a weapon that you can get a little into act 2 called "twist of fortune". This weapon has a special class action called blood money, which does normal weapon damage + 4 piercing damage for every 300 gold the target has in their pockets. She had her PC reverse pick pocket Raphael and dropped 41k gold into his pockets. Consequently when she hit him with blood money, she nuked him.

It is a weapon skill. The weapon is dropped by Gerringothe Thorm in the tollhouse. They devs have changed it so that it now consumes the gold though.

take literally everything, armor, weapons, and items off bodies, paintings, silverware, sell old equipment, ect, I ended my playthrough with 120K gold and that was without stealing from vendors

Use someone with sleight of hand and keep pickpocketing every vendor you come across

It's not a spell; it's a weapon you get from Gerringothe Thorm (the gold-woman in the Toll House in Act 2). It has a special ability to deal damage proportional to the amount of gold in the target's inventory. Unfortunately, it also destroys the gold, so this is a very expensive trick.

This attack did not consume the gold when I did it. They patched it later.

I used that same 41k to kill Gortash.
