Ayala Land have the lease on Market Market until 2027. When the lease expires, the property will be redeveloped, but the tendering for the project has not even started. However, it needs redeveloping. It's tired and looks its age. It was the first mall to open in BGC in 2004

Nice running into you in BGC recently Mergim, you were heading into the elevator, in the high rise near Uptown Mall…not sure if you remember, lol We were actually on our way to the airport on our way back to the US…we spent 3 weeks in the Phils…we have family in Mindanao. Anyway, always enjoy your content - maybe will run into you again on our next visit and have a cup of Joe and a chat. Amping!

Market market was the only mall i shopped at during my stay in manila. It had a nice old school vibe, and cant go wrong with 600php "nike" shoes :)

I think it would be not wise to re-develop market market at this time because underneath there would be busy constructing the subway and above they would be erecting a new high rise building. The stresses on the land would be enormous and costly failures and delays can happen not to mention the traffic problem. This will also void the all the studies prior for suitability for the subway construction plan.

The lease contract for market market would be expiring soon & Ayala corp. is interested to continue a new contract and would turn it down and build a more modern mall and mixed use buildings

I WAS WORKING THERE BEFORE IT OPENED ON SEPT 16 2004 UNTIL DEC. 2004😊 ANG ALAM KO AYALA PROPERTIES MANAGEMENT CORP. YAN😊 THEY ADMINISTER THAT MALL AND HAVE AN OFFICE SA TOP FLOOR😊 USED TO GET WORK PERMITS THERE😊

I think part of the redevelopment plan is to incorporate the planned BGC station of the Metro Manila Subway that is currently under construction. The line will pass under the street between Market! Market! and Serendra.

market! market! is a partnership between the ayalas and the gaisanos of cebu (especially the grocery) it's the 1st and the oldest mall in BGC area the largest mall of the gaisanos in cebu is the "g mall" in north reclamation (which opened last year) the gaisanos have so many malls & hypermarkets scattered all over vismin region starting this year, most "antiquated" ayala malls are being overhauled to keep up with the modern time (in manila & in cebu)

The lease of Market Market to that area will end in 2026 if I remember correctly. Then it will be open for investors for development. It's not known yet if Ayala will join to continue the operation of the mall

The site of the subway station will be located underneath the McKinley Parkway road at the side of Market Market mall. They're redeveloping the entire mall, perhaps to include condos, office spaces, a park and a transportation hub as well.

The lease of Ayala in that land will end in 2027. BCDA plans to convert it into a mixed-use area. Hopefully, there will still be a mall in that mixed-use development.
