That is to say, its one and only Azam Khan who can be referred to as GURU, nobody else which got established in 1970 and accepted by all and is being followed and with our responsibility we should remain stick to this truth. Once someone has raised GURU in any concert in emotion and that got viral and without going in depth of applying this title out of love and respect it's being used but it's not fair and it's not justified dear brother. Think logically, I am sure, you'll also agree to this. James Bhai, a favourite artist of mine who has got much role to make Band songs famous to even village people besides King Ayub Bachchu Sir and need to mention that a singer like James Bhai shall never come in Bangladesh. Fact is that he himself also feels embarrassed if he is addressed as GURU. In reply of such ranking approach to him, he mentioned somewhere that Azam Khan and Ayub Bachchu exists forever with so simple and wide heart. Noted, you have seen Band & Guitar King/ Father of Bangladesh/Asia, Ayub Bachchu, The Rock Icon ( তাঁর জীবদ্দশায় আমরা কখনোই মূল্যায়ন করতে পারিনি) also addressed Azam Khan as " GURU Tomay Salam" সেখানে অন্য কোন শিল্পীকে গুরু বলে সম্বোধন করার তো কোনো অবকাশই থাকতে পারেনা। একটু আগেই বললাম কনসার্টে ড্যান্সরত অবস্থায় আবেগময়ী মুহূর্তে এই জেনারেশনের যুবকদের কর্তৃক অসাবধানতাবশত এই গুরু শব্দটি উচ্চারিত হয় যা মোটেই কাম্য নয় । এই যুবকরা পূর্বের ইতিহাস হয়তোবা খেয়ালে আনতে পারেনি । আজম খান যে গুরু টাইটেল অর্জন করেছেন এটা একটা ইতিহাস ; এটা রাজনীতির কোন বিষয় নয় তবে এটা অবশ্যই বলা যায় যে ইতিহাস বিকৃতি করা আমাদের একটা কালচার হয়ে গেছে,আমাদের অস্থি মজ্জায় ঢুকে পড়েছে । আমাদেরকে ‌ এখান থেকে বেরিয়ে আসতে হবে; একজন সচেতন মানুষ হিসেবে আমাদেরকে এ বিষয়ে সব সময় সজাগ থাকা উচিত। Thanks & Regards

I dont know from where you are or in which year you were born but for your kind information only Gautam Chattopadhay can be considered as the Father of Bengali Rock. You can ask anyone from Rupam to James who sang Bheegi Bheegi si, the bengali version of prithvi ta na ki..even the late Ayub would had agreed to this. All are great musicians but none can deny Gautam Chattopadhay's immense contribution which led to the rock genre in bengali music and still does.

KD Gupta myb gautam chattapaddhay is the founder of west bangla’s rock band but not in the whole Bengal. He had a very little carrier as a band musician. Mohinner ghoraguli Not even the 1st band.. Zinga(1963) was the 1st Bangla band. Later on Uccharon(azam Khan)1967, souls(1972), feedback(1976) they bring the bangla rock band in the mainstream media. Even in the late 80s Kolkata radios used to play their songs. Lots of Cassettes used to sold. And very few people heard about the band mohinerr ghuraguli even in kolkata compare with souls, azam Khan, feedback back in late 80s & 90s
