Just like most of my trips, this one was also a last minute trip to BHADERWAH.
Bhaderwah is a town & tehsil in the district of Doda of the Union Territory of J& K.
It is predominantly a mountain torrid town situated 200 kms from Jammu, surrounded by plum, apple and peach orchards giving it the title of MINI-KASHMIR.
Bhaderwah is now hogging the limelight for all the tourists around the country.
After driving for about 4 to 5 hrs I reached Bhaderwah. As I didn't want to waste anytime resting & relaxing, I went straight away to the famous Fish pond aka Gatha Lake.It is in the lap of Bahdarwah and is 1.0 Km away from heart of the city.
After spending a good time ambling in the park around the lake, I went to a hotel nearby.
I checked in to the hotel named
Hotel Shiv Residency and Restaurant.
The service of this hotel was really good.I was happy to see that the staff values the customer service. Moreover the price was really genuine.I preferred the same hotel during my stay in Bhaderwah.

Day 2 was a planned day.
Before reaching Padri, I took a hault and decided to visit the most famous temple i.e. CHANDI MATA MANDIR at CHINOTE.
This temple of Mata Chandi, is situated at village Chinote. Every year Trishule Bhaint Yatra comes here from Doda on. After few days yatra returns to Doda.Later, a grand yatra in which more than one lakh devotees participate.Later there's again a grand yatra in which more than one lakh devotees participate. The Yatra starts from Chinote Bhadarwah to Machail (Paddar) Bhawan of Chandi Mata.
After leaving the temple I reached PADRI.
Padri is a ‘Gali’ of undulating landscape, located 40 Kms from Bhaderwah at a height of 10,500 ft.It is one of the famous sought picnic spot in Bhaderwah. Padri is the highest point on Bhaderwah-Chamba road.
The gentle curves and slopes of hills beset with lushgreen carpet of grass comes as surprise. In addition to the natural beauty, one can have thrilling horse ride on the meadow.
Following this I went to see Bhaderwah Fort. It is situated at just 3 kms away from town. It is a blend of rich heritage of Dogra & Himachal architecture. It was build by Maharaja Phar Chand in 1733, later it was converted into jail in 1919 to house the freedom fighters. Now, it is a major attraction for tourists.
The last place I visited was JAI VALLEY.
The picturesque longitudinal valley of Jai is located at a height of 7000 ft and it is 35 Kms from Bhaderwah. It is an extremely beautiful region surrounded by thick deodar on steep slopes and a beautiful sprawling meadow nearby.
Jai Valley is connected to the town by beautiful Bhaderwah-Jai Link Road. The stay facility for the tourists is available as "HOLIDAY VILLAGE" built by way of colorful tented accommodation and the well designed Igloo Huts by following the process of online booking. It is an ideal place for winter sports as it remains open to tourists.Visitors can also pitch their tents here for weeks together and enjoy horse-riding/Hikking.
I had used most of my time in the best possible way by visiting the places I love BUT the trotting doesn't end here.It wasn't even 1/4th of Bhaderwah.
I had to leave for Srinagar so I couldn't visit the other places but I believe that there is always a scope left when the stories are unfinished.
