First, Bhrigu Rishi visited Brahma, the creator. However, Brahma’s preoccupation with his duties led to a perceived neglect, resulting in Bhrigu cursing him. Next, the sage approached Shiva, the meditative destroyer. Engrossed in deep meditation, Shiva too failed to acknowledge Bhrigu, inciting the sage’s anger and another curse.
The final destination was Vishnu, the preserver. In a dramatic turn of events, Bhrigu Rishi tested Vishnu’s patience by striking him on the chest. Instead of retaliating, Vishnu responded with compassion and forgiveness, tending to Bhrigu’s feet. This act of kindness and humility led Bhrigu to declare Vishnu the greatest among the Trimurti.
