manaḥ sanyamya maccitto yukta āsīta matparaḥ 6.14
yuñjannevaṁ sadātmānaṁ yogī niyatamānasaḥ
śāntiṁ nirvāṇaparamāṁ matsansthāmadhigachchhati 6.15
yadā viniyataṁ cittam ātmanyevāvatiṣṭhate

saṅkalpprabhavān kāmāns tyaktvā sarvān aśeṣataḥ

Sorry what you are hearing and ancient texts are of Sanatana Dharma. Hinduism practised is no where near.. we lost it long long long time ago. Today, going to temple is fancy dress and break coconut and 3 rounds and they pray to every "baba" across the street from Shiridi to Sai .. and they all call themselves Hindu

truth last , you are right. We, Hindus, are not following religion according to Veda and Gita. In the modern times it is not possible or necessary also. But certain amount of our culture comes from Veda and Gita. In Upanishad it is said : Let noble things come to us from all corners. In the present day world we have access to knowledge of all religions and all branches of science . Knowledge is an universal subject and we need keep our mind open to get the best out of life. To hang on to one religious belief alone is like to live a frog in a small well all its life. We need to let our mind expand to the Universal dimensions. Hats off to you that you are a Muslim and like Sanskrit .

Many of r mantras r in sanskrit only like mahamritunjye mantra ,,this mantra have cured many patients who were suffering from the brain disease. Om which is the most powerful word in Hinduism is derived from sanskrit. Sanskrit is beyond the range of Science brother and I hope u can also learn it 4 ur better life🥰🥰🥰🥰

Sri Yukteswar stated the correct interpretation of the sutra is that the yogi focuses his gaze on the root of the nose (the spiritual eye), not the tip of the nose. He joked, "the yogi is singular enough without making himself cross eyed."

There is a saying in Hindi "Ghar ka Jogi Jogda, Aan Gaon ka siddh" means a Yogi in the neighborhood is no Yogi at all, but of a different place is the perfect one. We would realize the value of Vedic knowledge only when foreigners acknowledge it and when we lose it.

I am reading the Gita now in quarantine. I have finished 9 chapters, Being Indian and even though I studied Sanskrit for 5 years from 7th to 12th, cannot make me understand even a single sentence which is a bit sad. I have to read the sanskrit Verse which has been translated to English with commentary Swami Chinmayananda. But I am glad that I started reading. It is the most beautiful soulful book I have ever read!!> Because of that life is so much more happier.

Respect from India to you . This is very important part of Shrimad bhagwat geeta where Bhagwan Shri krishna explains arjun about how Yoga has to be done. And Arjun says it very difficult to control mind its like trying to control wind and even Bhagwan acknowledge it.
