Biblioteca Angelica was the venue where the International Institute of South Asian Studies (ISAS) hosted a unique exhibition commemorating the contribution of Sikh Army during the Great War (1914-1919).
What is unique about the Sikh Warrior and his inspiration to lay down his or her life? What made them the greatest warriors ever to have stepped on a battlefield? Bhai Baldeep Singh shared that this world is the Paradise and the Sikh warrior has stood out for he lives and celebrates life as a gift of God - of Allah - of Kartar, and if a need were to arise the Gur-Sikh sage-warrior shall not hesitate to make the supreme sacrifice albeit for happiness here in this world; for protecting the idea of acceptance of diversity here in this world. A Gur-Sikh concept is to die to save this Paradise - this Heaven which is here & now!
In this 18th composition sung by Bhai Baldeep Singh, the Guru evokes his mind to awaken for it is the moment to meditate, to contemplate, so all impediments, "O Nanak", may vanish.
This is another marvel from the repertoire of Darbar Sahib, Amritsar, where the Sikh Army men would visit to pay obeisance before heading to fight in the battle. Sadly, this music no longer resonates in the inner sanctum.

ki Guru Nanak Dev ji jdo kirtan krde hon ge, ohdo oh v eda hi hath maarde honge? bhull chukk maaf, par mere mann nu eh nhi bhaaya. Kirtan sunke thandd paini chahide, hath-paer te taadiya maaran vale classical singers hor v bthere ne. Par gurbani shanbad da kirtan krn lggeya, satkaar bahot zruri ho janda. Bandda kirtan sune ya ehna nu nautanki krde dekhe?

Baldeep singh ji why do you do karate while singing shabads? You pronunciation is not clear. Its sad that you are a good singer but you do not sing clearly

can you do better? Bhai sahib doing Kirtan the way it was done in maharajs darbar, meanwhile your pakhandi ass ustad doesn't know anything about puratan kirtan. pehla appe sikh fer hora nu sikha. man thinks he's so smart cuz he found an inaccurate Wikipedia list of raags

Why is it that you feel have the right to judge the way people Kirtan?? Who are you? What makes you qualified to do so?? And please don’t talk about surinder whom you customarily mention in many comments. You must understand that they way bhai Baldeep singh jee is doing Kirtan is unique to him. The way I sing is unique to me. No one will ever sound the same. Moreover, the movement of bhai sahibs hand is a something singers do when they sing as they completely loose themselves in the moment. Additionally, the pronunciation of gurbani seems good with me. If you listen to khudh dhrupadi roop more often you will understand the pronunciation better. All in all, it’s a you problem.
