If people took things like this serious, then humor would be offensive to everyone. Every culture, tradition and types of people has a prejudice, and comedies just make fun of that prejudice by overemphasizing it. Whats the point of life when we can't laugh at ourselves, it doesn't mean we don't respect where we come from, it just means that we can take these jokes with a light heart, and still be proud of where we come from.

I suggest you actually do some research on Morris Dancing! My question is, as (the depicted) Cotwolds Morris....where were their sticks?? They should have clonked Bhangraman on the head and flicked him with wet hankies! ('Dangerous things hankies: quote from the wonderful spoof documentary 'Life in Bells.' ) Yes the humour does work with hanky dancing, but not with some of the Border Morris sides who would put the wind up Bhangraman.

NetMoverSitan that's too bad. Folk dancing isn't ridiculous, out-moded stuff. Folk dancing is heritage, cultural inheritance! Thank god you've got some! some people don't. While I thought this clip was very very funny, I have to say that I (an American) finding out that my English ancestors did have SOME significant form of folk dance and costume was a great relief to me, and made me very proud indeed.
