Hinduism doesn't allow eating cow. Killing cow is a sin in hinduism. Even Karna and Great MahaRishis like Gautam had to repent for years when the mistakenly killed cows. I was a meat eater from Chhattisgarh before but after that event in kerala where they killed a cow on the middle of the road and ate it just to hurt Hindu sentiments and troll BJP changed me. I converted to vegetarianism.

I am also from Tamil Nadu and also a non vegetarian, but never consumed beef and never will. Most of us in Tamil Nadu never consume beef. But in Chennai some Hindus have turned into Dravidian stocks and started eating beef. But we never consider them as Hindus.

I went to Varanasi from Howrah few days back, stayed there for 10 days. I had only Rs.2000/- with me in cash. I had around Rs.800/- left with me when I came back because I payed everything through UPI. I don't even have phone pe or GPay, UPI is integrated in my Bank app, everything was done from there easily. No problem of change. This also reflects how good internet connectivity is in India nowadays because this wouldn't have been possible without internet.

See, it is common that some people from Tamil Nadu and Kerala eat Beef, when compared with Karnataka, Andhra and Telangana. I am from Karnataka and Though I am non-vegetarian knowingly I never ate Beef or even fantasized of eating Beef.

Because of these communist and Islamic combinations, specifically Kerala and Tamilnadu regions lots of people eat beap, mostly that might be not cow but may be buf or other stuff, they are not so hindu centric mindsets like North Indian. In USA, they have special breed raised as the cattle (Angus or Herefords) which they used as beef. NOT always cow. Beef word came from french word *boeuf* (=cow), which then got morphed to today's beef. The French words stuck and that is how we got the word beef and not cow.

Beef consumption is not a new to any part of the country but most of the Hindus avoid it. Mostly dalit and very few "lower caste" communities eat. Since rise of Dravidian politics, people are conditioned to think that eating beef is a cool thing and it's your resistance against caste system and Aryan Hinduism. Normal Hindus grown in the 10 environment, feels that it is OK to eat beef even being a Hindu. Atheism is a growing thing in Southern States especially in Tamil Nadu and Kerala especially because of their dravidianism and communism.

india's export of beef in 2022 is 3.3 billion dollar which is majorly buffalo meat and in 2023 india will be third largest exporter of beef. our only problem is cattle smuggling from small farmers whose livelyhood depends on cattle for milk etc. secondly that person was wearing haldi mala (turmeric rosary) in his neck which is probably he is following shakta tradition (workshipping goddess) and eating non veg in shakta tradition is normal in south of india.

Hello Alok Sir. Me as a tamilian would like to clarify. Some of the Hindu communities in TN do consume Beef. They mostly come under the Dalit community (No intention to pull in casteism here just giving facts). Moreover, with the anti Sanatan Narrative by the Dravidian movement which was further propogated by the Dravidian parties which came into picture theyhave successfully normalised beef. It has become kind of fashion statement among the people who want to showcase themselves as liberals and forward thinkers to boast that they love beef. A diet that was specific to a community was intentionally made into a vogue just to insult and cause inconvenience for the other community and that is a fact as well. So my point is there are communities within the hindu ambit that consume beef and make a living by making products out of Cow's carcass and left overs.
