My favorite Mahesh babu movie is Maharshi! Though Mahesh babu is main hero, the way it subtly highlighted importance of Naresh and his association with his village and using that to make Mahesh realize what should matter more in life (money/luxuries or human values/bonding)

1: Nenokado, is my favourite it’s so underrated and overlooked. It really tried something different and was really ahead of its time for Indian audiences I think people even today won’t watch it..😢

The Mahesh Babu movie we need a watchalong for is *Okkadu* (2003), it's among his very first hits, it's my 2nd all time fav Telugu movie. It holds extremely well today. It's an action romance that is different from the stereotypical masala. It's much more grounded and there's a focus on creating a special atmosphere. I think the OGs Jaby & Achara should watch it especially since it's a modern classic (the Tamil remake Ghilli with Vijay is also very popular) 🙂

frankly speaking......leader movie is much more relatable,realistic,best movie than bharat ane nenu......1 nenokkadine of mahesh babu is next level i can say no other south indian or indian movie have that plot or similar plot.....than khaleja is one of the underrated indian cinema.....people at that time couldnt grasp the essence of that movie but now regret that.....athadu and srimantudu are good too

Talks about traffic fines and all fine, but conveniently ignores lots of deep rooted issues like caste.... Any movie about politics in India which doesnt address the Caste discrimination and caste based politics of Telugu politics is a kind of joke for me.... But not saying it's totally bad, movie is great in parts.... As an entertaining masala....

Other Telugu movies that deserve a watchalong: *Kshana Kshanam* (1991) Ram Gopal Varma's 2nd movie, a road thriller with Sridevi and Venkatesh. *Bommarillu* (2006) a romcom/coming of age (father-son rocky relationship) modern classic, my personal fav *MayaBazar* (1957) one of the most well known classics, folktale/fantasy romcom with Savitri whose biopic Jaby & Achara watched and liked. Also with NTR's grandfather. It's a very iconic movie for the Telugu industry so it would be interesting for Jaby to see it! And please continue with Rajamouli's filmo! We got nothing since Achara and Andrew saw Magadheera. *Maryada Ramanna* (a Buster Keaton adaptation, quite different from Rajamouli's usual stuff), *Vikramarkudu* (one of the best masalas ever done IMO, with a solid plot and an punusually morally grey protagonist) and *Simhadri* (a more traditional masala but with an engaging plot) all strongly deserve to be seen!

If you become head of a state/province unelected in special circumstances, you have 6 months until you stand in elections. But yeah you've to stand in elections and win otherwise you can't be in that position. Prakash Raj tells Mahesh Babu bc seeing Mahesh as son many people (not in party but voters) would feel that this is his father's son. So no problem. And thus no rival would challenge him as to not upset public sentiment against the son of a dead CM. Has happened many times in India
