@@arushialphonsa2125 -lucky but i do not understand this concept of being raised by nannies/maids i understand olden time kings/queens royal nanny was like a mother to their kids and sometimes even incharge of the household affairs with full authority with number of people working under them being nanny it used to be a privilige for them but present world is different either be DINK or both hus/wife take out time between them for the kids else some kids feel left out nowadays have seen in our neighbourhood and also elsewhere

Hii...im a doctor and also a mother of a toddler...have to work in night shifts also...... being a doctor and mother at the same time means you have to feel a guilt all the time...because if you focus 100% on job then u ll certainly cant do justice with your kid and vice versa......and last 2 years of pandemic was the most difficult time of my life...means leaving my kid behind and be in quarantine many of times and also be in a fear of passing your kid the infection.....i mean....i think only a mother can understand all this....i think its a high time that government hospitals must have a small nursery .....afterall doctors have same emotions too..... infact every workplace must have a little nurery.....

We as working parents were very fortunate to get a lady who used to look after my daughter with care, love and devotion. She never used to take meal without feeding my daughter. She got shifted to some other city but always used to wish her on her birthdays and reminded us to vaccinate her from time to time (till the age of 10 years) We are grateful to her.

@@arpanmadrecha3013 it's not about extra food. We used to give her food same as ours. But it was Her tendency to steal... she used to steal my elder daughter's hairclips and my fancy hairbands too. Then, should I start giving her new clips every time. We used to pay her a fairly good amount and I asked her father to give some amount to her from the salary as well. So that she can buy something for herself and could stop her urge but he never gave her a penny. Very important issue. Not only for children but senior citizens too. What I mean is - older parents too don't tell us if caretakers are misbehaving with them. After trying with few caretakers to look after my father, I finally had to give up my job to be there for my father. Difficult decision and financial implications too but then parents sacrifice so much more for us. No regrets for my decision. I am lucky that my brother is taking care of major finances and I am trying out different things that I can do from home. Let's see what happens 😀 But one thing for sure - now I may not be able to trust any caretaker; some are good but rarely so!

I can totally relate to this as I also started going to work when my kid was just 1 yr old.Luckily I had the best caretaker 'Didi' who took care of my son very patiently.Although for our peace of mind we have also installed cctv in our home which I think is the first basic thing parents should consider while keeping caretakers. In a way it creates a sense of fear to the caretakers that they are constantly being watched which reduces any kind of misbehavior.

A very eye opening video for working couples with young children or elderly parents. Babies and elderlies are vulnerable and both need TLC. The reason my husband and I worked different shifts, so we didn't have to hire a baby sitter. I was aftaid to trust anyone with my children. Many parents doesn't have those opportunity to work different shifts, so they really need to verify the credentials of these caregivers. My friend is with elderly parents and suffer a lot. She was in the office one day, and saw on CC tv footage that the home health aide took her mom out with slippers and a thin blanked wrapped around her on a freezing cold day to the supermarket despite of my friend telling her not to take her mum out. The aide, turned her phone off so my friend couldn't contact her and scold her. My friends mom caught pneumonia. She's 92 years old. Such things are always happening. It makes me think it was better when we all lived in joint families truth be told. Loved the video.
