Just so u mentioned Billu Barber..the original version climax portion just shows how Mammootty as an actor is unparalelled..like no comparison to his counterparts who did the role in Tamil & Hindi..I remember watching it in theatres..whole theatre was silent..people were literally in tears..and the whole movie's fate changed with that climax, and the movie became a super hit in Kerala

When mammooty says, "you can kill me, but for that to happen i must decide when i should die" is a reference to bheeshma from mahabharath, with reference to the title bheeshmaparvam . Bheeshma had a boon that he cannot die unless he wills it.

Avesham and Manjummel boys have a lot of regional references that I think they will try to clear up in the subs. So please keep it in mind while watching them. As I told before please watch the song "Kanmani anbodu" from the tamil movie Guna, before watching Manjummel Boys. It's an Old song By Ilayaraja. Kamal hassan and S Janaki are the singers. You can see Kamal hassan's wonderful acting in this song as well. This song was a cult classic not only in Tamil nadu But In Kerala as well. Malayalis always loved this song. Actually we always loved Tamil language and movies from our childhood. Most of us could understand Tamil easily. So yeah, that's all. So please keep all this in mind and watch Manjummel boys. And for Avesham, the name Fafaa is enough right🥰❤️

You should definitely watch Iyyobinte Pusthakam! You could pause the movie on any frame, print it and hang it on your wall. The dialogues, music and the story is just as good. It's a period drama.
