BREATHTAKING BHIMTAL IN BAARISH !
Vo baarish ka mausam, train ka safar, window wali seat aur saath mein kuchh anjaan humsafar - aaj in chhoti chhoti chaahaton ka ek saath milne ka maza, kuchh aur hi hoga.
If anyone is seeking refuge amidst lush green valleys & soulful mountains, and that too not far away from Delhi, then Bhimtal is a great option. Maanta hun yahan zyada kuchh karne ko nahi hai, but after all wahi to plan hai. With no must-visit spots for Instagram reels and no mall-road for souvenirs - for slow travelers like us, there's still a lot to see and experience
Perched high on a hill with the most magnificent views of the Bhimtal Lake, and surrounded by a few village homes and a soothing fragrance of the jungle, Magpie Retreat felt more than just a homestay. The property is enveloped in all shades of green and the 5 spacious rooms - which btw are all named after birds - are simple yet comfortable.
The good part about Magpie Retreat is that the place is nestled in the cradle of nature. But the best part is the owner Neha herself. She's an encyclopedia on nature and is always up for leading a forest walk.
For me coming to the moutains is never about view points or checklists. Walk-in any direction and you can call it a hike. Pack some food, hit a trail, sit by the river and you can call it a picnic. The opportunities are in abundance.

प्रियवर, हर बार आपका शो देखता हूँ। शायद यही जीवन जीना चाहता था इसीलिए जागेश्वर में एक छोटा घर भी बनाया लेकिन बहुत बार जा नहीं पाता हूँ समय नहीं निकाल पाता। रहता बनारस में हूँ दिल जागेश्वर में रहता है। अब तो उम्र भी काफ़ी हो गई 67 साल का हो गया हूँ । लेकिन एक बात आप की सही है पहाड़ों का सबसे अच्छा टाइम सितंबर अक्टूबर का महीना ही होता है। कभी समय मिले तो जागेश्वर का भ्रमण करें आपको पसंद आएगा। सैर कर दुनिया की गाफ़िल ज़िंदगानी फिर कहाँ । ज़िंदगानी ग़र रही तो ये जवानी फिर कहाँ ॥ So enjoy your life and journeys. @ The Untravel show- in year 2004, I happened to meet Mr Rajendra Pachauri & his team in Mukteshwar jungles. Some local people were also working there some research work. I had an opportunity to spend some time with them. They all, including local people, told me that by 1930s Britishers had started realising that they'll have to leave India sooner or later. So with bad intensions they brought this "pine tree to Uttrakhand.

Exploring mountains in monsoon is something most amazing and unlikely..It is only passion that drives to mountains and explore them in monsoon.The trip encompasses a great variety of beauty..Lush green mountains, especially a mist laiden canopy with a mild drizzle around is enough to push anyone to mountains. The trip is really an un-travel experience.. Bonding amongst individuals is par excellence.It looks as if they know eachother since long..A chocolate factory is of its own kind nestled in the hills.Tracking such un- touched terrain, in itself, is an amazing experience as every moment is a fun.Trips become exceedingly beautiful and memorable if hosts are humble and down to earth.A session of yoga in its ambiance is a treat.Such a varied exposure gives a craving to visit such places again and again.Too good.

I totally agree that monsoons in the mountains are magical, if you put aside the local challenges that they bring. I remember the first time I moved out after spending my childhood in the mountains, the mist and the clouds are things that I really missed.

I loved the monsoon shots but these videos are becoming more like promos - this one of the Magpie place and the farm, which I guess you covered earlier. 😄. I would personally prefer the monsoon video where you covered Kasardevi.

In the whole video, you just showed the property, people and a factory only. Where is the nature ? Out of 30 mins, only 5 mins of nature video ? Just 2-3 frames ? Com'on we are here to watch some more scenic beauty. So that we can feel that we are travelling with you. It's ok that you have inculcated different elements in your videos but it would be better if nature was captured more.
