Bhogi is a Festival Which is celebrated in India.Particulary in south india it is Celebrated.
The Three days of Sankrathi Festival,The First Day is Bhogi.
Basically The three days festival is harvesting festival of farmers.
Why because Farmers get their Crop At this time of festival.
Bhogi is The Day,The Dakshinayana Ends.
The next Day of Bhogi,Sankranthi Festival is The Starting Day of uttarayana kalam.
On This Bhogi Day people prepare Bhogi Fire(Bhogi mantalu) Early Hours of morning.
People Collect Cow dung cakes,old Furnitures,wood and lit fire.
(Caution Dont use plastic wastage items in The fire.It is harmful to the environment.)
After That people bath with hot water and Performing pooja.
There is a prasadam prepared with new rice called pulagam.
people offer pulagam to God and eat that pulagam.
Bhogi pallu is pour on the head of Childrens Below the age of 13 years.
jujube,cane sugar,rice with turmeric and flowers parts is called as bhogi pallu.
