This outlet started later but the owner here first use to fry fish in a khokha outside Nehru Shopping complex (before it was built)….when khokhas were removed, he shifted to front verandah of a shop (Now SS Colour lab on lawrence road)….then he shifted to majitha road and started the outlet there with his brother….so the lawrence road outlet came up earlier. Later Mahinder Singh went to Australia and the majitha road outlet was taken over by his brother (Don’t know about family issues and settlement….if there were any) and when mahinder singh came back from Australia….he started his own independent outlet here at old jail road. We go at both the outlets, both serve good quality fish.

Mohinder Singh who is the owner of this outlet is the one who took the name of Makhan at heights with his hard work through a khokha (small shop) at Lawrence road …So this one is the original Makhan located at jail road, basant avenue , opposite trillium mall …

The one at Majitha road is due to Mohinder singh’s kindness .. Ask the shoppers at Lawrence Road.. It’s Mohinder Singh who taught them how to cook chicken and fish .. Go and check BBC international news , Mohinder Singh’s interview from 1995 is still there.
