Is it not pure stupidity to go to war without weapons? How idiotic can it be, it is suicidal. Blame all your leaders and the students of then who push for war with 50 cutlasses. Your people must be the most dumped people on earth. Now the hunchback Nnamdi Kanu and his crown prince Ekpa are on the march again. Good luck.

If Biafran had survived,it could have been the spring board for Africa's greatness,something Nigeria has failed to fulfill for all it's potential's.

Gowon won’t die well. My uncle died in that war. Gowon listened to British today British has dumped him like olosho. He was bloody sucker who was in same car with Ironsi when he visited Ibadan and next day , Ironsi was kill by useless Danjuma who’s now worth 1b usd bloody money he got from killing Ironsi. Gowon was aware that his boss Ironsi would be killed next day but he didn’t save his boss. If I was alive then I will join Biafra Army. I respect the men and women that gave use this history. The man on red cap really explained it well. He was so grown and aware of everything . Ojukwu was a great leader. The war was oil war sponsored by shall and Queen Elizabeth criminal kingdom with zoo Nigeria government

Can someone translate this to us non-easterners. Unfortunate war that hunt Nigeria till date. Aburi Accord that would have guaranteed equal, freedom and justice was killed on this date.
@sonofnok2153
@sonofnok2153 2 ай бұрын
My brother it is a long one. However, it contradicts all the propaganda that BBC was dishing out, and finally continued by Nigeria media. Key points: He said when Ojukwu and Gowon came back from the Aburi agreement, Gowon was supposed to announce and begin to implement the Aburi accord, but he didn't. Instead he started misrepresenting the Aburi accord with lies. In his own defence, Ojukwu played a recorded proceedings of the Aburi Accord on Eastern Radio, which enraged the Easterners. The Easterners from present day Bayelsa to present day Enugu, gathered and forced Ojukwu to declare Biafra. Ojukwu hesitated, but the continued killing of Easterners around Nigeria continued unabated, and that justified the pressures on Ojukwu by the Eastern Chiefs to declare Biafra.

@@sonofnok2153the BBC and Yoruba media! We must mention it’ the Yorubas has been the architect of Igbo woes! These serpentine tribe that was chased out of Benin republic, Togo, Mali and Ghana and invaded negroland now called southern Nigeria’, we welcomed them, and they used their diabolism and evil to push us out and acculturé our people! From Benin to Uhe now called ile Ife were all Ndi Gboo territory’! Their Ooni of Ife knows this! That is why many place in that SW bear Igbo something, but they will argue and tell you it’s not the same Igbo as ndigbo , that theirs mean forest! A very disingenuous duplicitous sly dishonest disloyal people! They know their dark history and they fake unity they purport cos they are of different tribes of people that migrated from these neighboring countries including from Nupe and Fulani! That is why they are merchants of disunity, sowing seeds of discord amongst brethren, agent provocateur and divisive instigators! Such horrible people so untrustworthy and filled with envy’

The reason was the boundary areas occupied by non-speaking Igbo areas fell so quickly that the became Nigeria leaving the igbo heartland to bear the brunt of the war.A simple narrator will see it then as igbos versus the rest of Nigeria.

The old man is very accurate, especially, when he said that the young men were restive, following the Aburi and Gowans reneging of some articles of the accord articles. He was, mostly correct, when he stated that he explained the consequences. He has thus defeated the prevalent, misleading information, that it was Ojukwu that went to war, while it was Nigeria that brought the war to him. I, however, wish to negate his statement, that Ojukwu declared declare the war on the 30th. of May 1967. Even though it was the date that Biafra was declared on that date, he did not declare the war. It can, however, be argued that the declaration was tantamount to a declaration.

They Betrayed Ojukwu, he wasn't prepared for war no weapons, not knowing that Gowan had planned for evil, he betrayed him of all they discussed. They were not ready because there were no weapons and outsiders, Plus saboteurs helped Nigeria to kpai and starved Biafrans.

The narrator was not totally correct because he seem to narrow the war as only Igbo affairs while it was the entire Eastern Region that took the decision to defend the region against the entire Nigerian agreesion. It was the decision of the entire Eastern Region to separate from Nigerian nation..

He didn't exclude other former Easterners. Always pay attention to details.. every non commissioned soldier can only speak on their own experience and this os becauae the commissioned soldiers were more of the infantry commanders. They are the ones with more info on what happened both in their command and other commands.

You remember the popular saying "hind sight is always 20/20" It's easy to look back now and point out what should and shouldn't have been. If you were in General Ojukwu's shoes, you would have probably 🤔 done a similar thing. When your adversary has a plan to exterminate you, it's inevitable and necessary to react and hope that your response saves your life 💘. On the other hand, I have another popular saying to throw at you. Biafra war was like "if you do, you're damned, if you don't, you're damned". So it's better to do and damn the consequences. Unless you lived through the Biafra war, you will never understand.

Oh shut up’ he should have waited until all igbos were slaughtered!! You people must educate yourself’ our people were being slaughtering in north and south West’ ‘ in airport, In hospitals , All Places of Their work’ ‘ their corpses were loaded on trains and lorry and sent To East’! Which prompted the Aburi Visit in the first place! But you I know it all wanted Ojukwu to fold his Hands, and maybe started rolling on floor crying and begging)
