Yes that can be a problem. I now have one Bible for study and the other for journaling.

Thank you for sharing your beautiful illustrations & creative style. I’ve wanted to try this, but despite the Bible I purchased on Amazon being advertised for Bible art journaling, the pages were so incredibly thin. Which manufacturer makes your Bible? Thx

Hello, jillzy, I am in the process of sending a journal Bible to my sister for her birthday, and I found a couple of places for you to check out. Christian Art Publishers sells a " Note Taking Bible." and Thomas Nelson sells a "journal, the Word Bible." Google it, and good luck. God's blessings to you and your family. 😉💟

My Bible pages are terribly thin also. You just have to be very careful what you use to decorate Jill. My Bible is a King James Version, Personal Reflections Edition published by Barbour Bibles.

I am brand new to Bible journalling, however I've been doing multimedia journalling for sometime. Thank you for sharing. I have a quick question I noticed you have washy tape on the very top of every page that you have done, are you doing this for the stability of the page? Thank you again

It does make the page more stable but I originally did it to mark which pages I had decorated. Also some pages tore when I repeatedly turned to them to show people so the tape protected the edges from tearing also.

Do I need to prep the Bible paper before doing watercolor, etc?

Although I believe I have seen other youtubers do that, I have never found it necessary for watercolour, as long as you do not get the pages too wet that they tear.
