Thanks for watching! Galatians 2:20 20 I have been crucified with Christ and I no longer live, but Christ lives in me. The life I now live in the body, I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave himself for me.

I loved this video, Stacy! So encouraging to hear the scriptures you quote. I've been a Christian for many years but the Lord is showing me how much I need to stay close to him and keep on reading his Word! My favorite book is Romans. It is a personal letter from God to each of his spiritual children, I believe.

This is so fun to hear your transformation in living for God. I can relate to being corrected, but God has such a wonderful way of guiding/correcting, that it's a joy. He cares enough to correct us. I remember once I was praying for a home and I thought we're never going to get a home (again). And immediately I heard him, oh ye of little faith. OUCH! A big fat ouch and I think I literally stepped backwards. Talk about repentance! LOL Hebrews used to be a favorite book. Then 2Timothy for a few years. It changes with whatever God is working on to refine me. It's always fun to see what stands out in God's word each time it's read. This month, I'm working on a video of repentance, water baptism and fire/Holy Spirit and connecting Old Testament to New Testament verses. God is AMAZING! Thank you for sharing your walk Stacy.

I had that same thing happen to me recently! I was praying about something and I was getting annoyed that He wasn't answering. I stopped and thought to myself, "How long do I have to do this?" Then I heard, clear as day, "Pray without ceasing!" So I'm back to praying about it again, lol! I'm excited for that video. Do you have another channel, or just the book one?

@@wanderingwithstacy Oh my. That is so funny. I mean, I get it! Totally relate and thank God for his patience with us, because we don't have any. LOL My solely Christian channel is Truth Be Told. It might be easier to find from a search on my book channel to link to it, than to search on YT, because it's a tiny channel.

This is a great video. Thank you for sharing. Self-reflection has been the theme of my Bible study for the past year, too. My favorite books of the Bible are Job, Psalms (which I try to read at least one a day), Jeremiah, Ezekiel, Matthew, and James. I don't know why I love Job so much, but I do. It has always been a favorite.

I really enjoyed this and hope you'll do this each quarter. I just finished reading the Bible in 90 days so I'm going to post my thoughts soon, but I do not advise it! 😂 I tried it out of curiosity since I've heard others talk about it and I am glad I tried it, but hard to meditate on the Word daily when you read it this way. Anyway, I'm excited to get back to my normal way of reading and study and this encouraged me. Thanks! --favorite book for the past few years has been Ephesians because I feel it really lays out how the gospel of Jesus Christ is the only answer.

My favorite book of the bible is Revelation! I love Revelation because I love the Rapture and the soon coming of our Lord, it is very exciting to me. "For the testimony of Jesus is the spirit of prophecy." Rev. 19:10. I have been reading the bible for over 30 years. I love the New Testament because it helps us understand all the gifts we have in Christ. I love Genesis, Daniel, Proverbs, Psalms, and Song of Solomon from the O.T. and Job! I'm so happy for you that you are reading your bible and not just novels! That is wonderful! When I was a young Christian I would go through the letters of Paul and look for and underline everything that had to do with "Grace"...then when I read through again I would look for all the verses that had to do with the work of the Holy Spirit in our lives, Or I would study prophecies about the Rapture...I learned the bible so well from studying it that way. As a baby Christian learn as much as you can about God's grace...that will help you so much in growing in the faith. There are some great non-fiction Christian books about Grace. It truly is Amazing. I just found your channel and I'm so happy I did. Looking forward to future videos, and I am enjoying some of your older ones as well! God bless you!

Hi Stacy! Watching this one later as I'm catching up on all your old videos 🤍 I love this type of video! A recommendation I have for you on Christian living, is Holiness of J.C. Ryle. It's not a quick read, by any means, but it is a very insightful and convicting look at how a Christian's life (should) reflect the Holy Spirit's work in themselves. I'm reading my Bible the same way as you this year! I started late so I've only read James & Galatians and I'm working through Isaiah right now. I think Lamentations will be next. Thank you for this video! Blessings 🤍

Really enjoyed this video. I like your NLT illustrated bible. I have never finished reading the entire bible, read through a lot of it, a little over 50%, but not the full bible. I have a goal to finish reading it at some point :) I read Genesis through Isaiah but fell off my reading last year. Really enjoyed listening to your perspective. I struggled with reading proverbs honestly in my ESV so I had to go to another translation to help me understand a lot of it. It has some great stuff!

Glad you enjoyed it! Last year I was in a Bible reading group and that really helped keep me on track. I don't read it every day like I wish I did. Did you grow up in church? I didn't, so so much of it was new to me and I think that also helped push me along:)

@@wanderingwithstacy I didn’t grow up going in church but generally “believed” - but never took it any further. Made some friends in high school/early college who didn’t believe and pulled me away from faith until in 2015, I decided to finally commit my life to Jesus and got baptized ☺️☺️ So much is still new to me now so I definitely understand the sense of everything being new pushing you along ☺️☺️☺️☺️

Great video, and a testament to the Holy Spirit in your life. I’m a newer Christian like you, but have never read the Bible in its entirety. When first saved, I read Proverbs because of Proverbs 3:5-6, which I consider my life verse. I’m currently reading the NLT Chronological Bible specifically because it gives me a different, sometimes clearer understanding than the ESV which is the translation I most often use. I’m still on course, currently reading through Joshua. Besides Proverbs, I love reading through James and Job when I am in the midst of physical suffering. They comfort me. I also love Genesis for the story of creation and the fall, which fascinate me. Psalms often comforts me, and most of the NT is just filled with truths about how we should honor and love God in our Christian walk daily. Thanks for the inspiration and encouragement.
@wanderingwithstacy2 жыл бұрын
Thanks! Reading it chronologically last year made a huge difference in my understanding! I love that you have a life verse. It's so hard to pick one. I love Job 1:20, naked I came from my mothers womb, and naked shall I return there. That put so much into perspective for me. Thanks so much for you comment:)

Hello - I enjoyed hearing about the verses you underlined this year! To answer your question - I think my favorite book of the Bible is John because of the prayer in chapter 17. My favorite verse may be John 17:17 but of course there are so many wonderful verses in the Bible it is hard to commit to just one. I also love 1 John and the book I've read the most since becoming a Christian is Proverbs because for a while I read a chapter a day. Also love Psalms of course. Right now I'm studying Philippians, Romans, and Numbers! Some favorite Psalms are 25, 34, and 61... and others, but those three are special to me.

John is so great! The 1st time I read the gospels I thought each one was my favorite, then I got to John! I just love the things he pointed out and his writing is beautiful. I didn't love Psalms the 1st time, but fell in the with them the 2nd. I think reading them chronologically made them make more sense to me. Now I'm mesmerized by the language, pure poetry!

Love, love, loved this video! I can feel your heart for God. I underline in a different color each year and then when I go back and reread I can see what year and how long it was that I had underlined certain passages. Example I used black ink in 202l and blue ink for 2222. I also will write out the verses I underline in a notebook the same color I underline them in my Bible. It helps me remember them and brings them back to my memory when I need them. I love Genesis, Isaiah, Danial, and Revelation! Beautiful video hope you make more like this one!
