After 39 years of denying him, I was saved on 14 Oct 2020 and I'm just starting my journey. I started in Revelations and moved to Genesis for my first dive into the Bible lol! It was confusing but enlightening. I'm going to start with Matthew next and work my way through it Matthew, Mark, Luke, John, and Acts. Thank you so much. God bless!

ABC’s to being saved. A-Admit you are a sinner. B-Believe that Jesus is the Son of God and died for your sins and rose again. C-Confess your sins to Him, repent and turn from your sins. End every prayer in Jesus name because He is the only way to the Father. If you do those things you can rest assured you are saved. Praise God!!

I'm a baby christian. Newly born again. I'm often frightened to think about bible study with other people. Im 30, and My entire life I've had a really low vocabulary (that of a child) . Often times when people talk about certain things I have no idea what they're talking about, and I get lost quickly bc of not knowing the vocabulary. I'm starting church near by where I live this Sunday, and am praying it helps me get to know Jesus more. He knows my heart.

As a suggestion for you, when you come across a word you don't know, write it down and look it up. You can have a running list or whatever. Try to find a way to use the new word a few times. Also read more in general. In that way your vocabulary increases and you become smarter. 😊 No one is born knowing it all. Don't expect to learn everything at once. Learning is a continual process! I wish you good luck! 👍👍

This helped so much ! I do disagree when you say “you won’t feel the Holy Spirit in you unless you read the word of god”, because I do feel the Holy Spirit in me and it has changed my life this month. I’ve never been so happy to feel this love from him and can not wait to get even closer to him when I start studying the Bible !

I'm not sure what I said but I meant that you cannot be certain it is the Holy Spirit speaking unless you know His voice and you can't truly know His voice without knowing His Word. I am so happy you are hearing from Him!! It's such a blessing to feel His love!!

The word of God will allow to life a live pleasing to Him and when we live according to His will He will truly allow us to have the gift of the Holy Spirit so the word of God is very important in our daily live. Remember there are other spirits out there so we have to try the spirit. God is the one living Spirit.

@Rose Lilly I am autistic. I have severe learning disabilities. I may read a verse 10 times over. Look right at you and not be able to tell you what I just read. Colors and visuals help me to process things into my brain. People have long put rules on God's word. Bless you my sister🙏❤🙏 I reach out to you for understanding. I keep it simple: A quiet place, start by praying by asking God to impress your mind with truth to send his Spirit to show you. Open His Word, start in theNew Testament, Matthew and slowly read thinking about it and what God wants you to understand. I journal and this is so important. Write about what you read. Make it real. Pray! You will grow in Christ. Do this everyday. Be consistent and your life will change.

My favorite verse is lean not to your own understanding - Proverbs 3:5-6. Sometimes we go through things and we don’t understand why but it’s important to not lean into your own understanding but to trust God with all your heart. We’re nothing without God.

I’m 31 and I’m about to get my first Bible . It looks like a very hard book but listening to you break it down makes it so much easier to already understand. I have felt so lost and confused not knowing what I’m doing and what to do In life. I just hope reading and studying the Bible helps me. When you said the Holy Spirit is in me I felt so emotional I started to tear up.. I have never felt like this watching a KZfaq video thank you so much for taking your time and making this easier.

Join a youth group or check with your local church and see if they have online zoom youth meetings. After the lockdown you’ll be amazed at how many fun things you can do with other Christians, It’s very important for you to be around other Christians and learn about Jesus. He has a plan just for you! I’m so excited to see how he uses you and continues to change your life. God bless you on your journey. Remember Jesus hears you, pray from your heart, don’t worry about it being the correct words as long as you pray honestly to the lord. He knows your heart.

Have you watched Bible Stories with Liv? I don't have tiktok but I've seen her on KZfaq. She has a good way of breaking down some of the stories for understanding before you read. But definitely keep reading every day and praying for understanding from the Holy Spirit. ❤️

I’m completely new to this, I’ve only ever read like the first few pages of the Bible where it talks about Adam and Eve and I’ve never read past that but I want to now and I want to understand all of it and I just don’t know where to start or how to do it and this video helps so much! I thought I knew the Bible pretty well, but this resource has been amazing, and I have learned so much. Brad releases an episode every Tuesday. As someone with ADHD, I found it amazing to see someone similar to myself bouncing from topic to topic, and even the little here and there distractions. But it was so easy to follow along and understand! I have been walking with God since I was 2-3 yrs old and mom taught me to pray spent 5o years after that thinking I know God went to catholic school 1-12 grade. Saved at 27 and went to bible study groups here and there . I realized i pray a lot know a lot but not enough! I know concepts but I really don’t know any more than a baby Christian ! Revelation! Wow that was hard to swallow after all there’s years ! I never had any a formal teaching about how to study the Bible. . I just kind of wing it. I aTalk about stunted growth! I have never before been to church until this year. My son who is 9yrs old has always been curious and interested in God and I have no clue where any of it came from because we don't talk about it in our house. My husband grew up in churches and went to religious schools but stopped in high school and still my son would talk. I finally stopped denying him the opportunity to bring God in his live (and mine), so we started going to church and I'm loving it. I don't understand most of it....yet but hope to be able to one day. I have also just started studying the bible as I was gifted a Student Bible. In that bible it gives me tracks to follow and I have started with the book of Luke! I'm so happy to hear that Luke is your favorite as a newbie, I'm finding it an easy one to start with! Thank you for breaking down the books of the Bible for me as I now feel I have a better understanding of it! Peace be with you!

You’re so right when you say Jesus is everywhere in the Bible! He is definitely referred to many times in the Old Testament! The Old Testament is also FULL of illustrations of God’s grace and mercy!! 💕

@@israelite1972 To do that I would need to write an entire book, if not volumes. Even then, I would fail miserably at trying to show you what only the Spirit can. My answer is to go to Him. Take each book while on your knees before Him. Ask Him to reveal Himself to you. He will. I love your hunger to know Him better and to see Him in Scripture! It may take a lifetime, but it will be THE most amazing journey! He will radically change your life!! 💕

NEW STUDENT, but.... I was raised in church and have always been a believer but I have never really studied the bible - till now. I"m just getting started. Bible study is very complex and confusing but I am at a point in my life that I really want to study and learn. We recently got a new pastor at our church and he has been very helpful. I learn a lot from him! I should have found your channel sooner - I stared with Genesis 1:1. I am finishing up Deuteronomy now. I am using a chronological bible i recently bought. I also just bought a (another) study bible which I LOVE! Thank you for your willingness to teach us, your enthusiasm and honesty! I like that you will admit you don't know or could be wrong about something. Thank you so much for your time too. I look forward to learning from you.

The 66 books are divided between OT (39 books) and NT (27 books). Easy to remember is 3 times 9 (i.e. OT books) is 27 + 39 = 66 Books.

Hi Nikki, I just discovered you. In the past at various times in my life I’d open a Bible and try reading a bit but couldn’t get into it. A few months ago I acquired an ESV which seemed more doable. They gave a 40 day study list. I’m enjoying it but almost done and didn’t know how I should proceed. This video was very helpful. Something that is very confusing to me is the history and geography; the different “ Houses” and who was ruling whom. A video on that would be helpful. I noticed that this video is 2 years old so I don’t even know if you’re still active but I love your upbeat personality and down to earth approach. 🥰Barbara

Hi, Barbara, I highly recommend a video Bible resource by Brad Gray, entitled "Walking The Text - The Teaching Series." Brad explains and teaches the Bible and Biblical concepts/precepts through various contextual lenses (e.g., culture, history, geography, language, etc). He also helps you see how the Bible teachings apply to your daily walk. I thought I knew the Bible pretty well, but this resource has been amazing and I have learned so much. You will be engaged, enriched, and enlightened. Each video is powerful and packed with Spiritual gems and revelations. Brad releases an episode every Tuesday. Start with episode 1, which lays the foundation for the teaching series. (Unfortunately, I couldn't figure out how to import the link.) You can google "Walking the Text - The Teaching Series." This was very informative and it really helps me to understand the books of the Bible and what to expect from each one. I must say when first started reading the Bible years ago I was so confused as to what I was reading and how to pronounce the words and names. I listen/watch the late Pastor Stephen Darby (Destiny Ministries) and I have learned so much from his Bible studies. I have not ever heard of anyone like him who speaks the word to where I am able to truly understand. It is unfortunate that he is no longer with us but thank God for his wife, family, and ministry that keep his videos going. I do my best to make it a point to listen to his teachings at least once a week. (Very informative). Thank you for your help as well I will definitely check out your website I would love to see what's in store there. Have a blessed rest of your day.

6, Don't do it alone! I have to... I have no one to study with. But, I guess you could say I am not alone has I have the Holy Spirit with me. We all do! When I was in a group bible study no one cared whether I showed up or not. They wouldn't even call me to let me know they weren't having it that day. I need beginner study videos.

Pastors kid from birth here so lots of Bible exposure. I have read the Bible for years but have never really tried to study it and dig deeper. I literally prayed the other day and asked God to teach me how to study the Bible. The next day I just happened to be flipping through my hcsb Bible and discovered a section at the back on how to study the Bible. Then today this video was on my KZfaq homepage! Enjoyed this video and your energy and passion. Now enjoying your video on verse mapping. Love the instruction on how to really get as much as possible out of a verse!
