Thanks for this - are you able to provide a source for the Egyptian inscription? I'm having trouble finding recent peer-reviewed research on this.

You're welcome. The source I have is found in the book 'On the Reliability of the Old Testament' by Kenneth Kitchen, pp. 313-314. Hope that helps you out.

Thanks for responding @@GospelandSpade - after searching journals for the last little while, I can only locate what seems to be a beef between Kitchener and Clancy over something to do with Shoshenq I... There doesn't seem to be any clear work on the field of Abraham in the last decade or two. Will probably park this and get on to finishing my assignment :)
