For those who are wondering, you have to press the largest button REALLY hard for it to work. A light tap won’t do it. I thought it had to do with the meal ring at the end being pulled out but it had nothing to do that. Just press super hard.

Anytime :D ! So glad it helped. and before i get it, i thought it was refillable, and i thought that you can set the flame height but you can do any of them. It's a fixed flame and non-refillable as well.

I feel like I'm breaking something... So first you press down on the big button then pull back on the little knob on the underside? Also is that big gray button not supposed to adjust the flame intensity? All I need to do is light a candle and it's like a blow torch. It has a dot on it like that's supposed to indicate intensity, but even with a pair of pliers I can't turn it. Is there only one factory setting? Thanks!

Hi there, i thought exactly the same as you that the knob were supposed to adjust the flame intensity but it doesn't move left or right at all, so it just looks so. and i guess the lights is meant to light some fire on the wild while camping, light some coal .. even though i used it to light the cook at the kitchen and it lasted for 3 years .. i thought it was refillable but it isn't. but it's still worth buying.

@@ModiAdams Hi Modi! I bought it to light my larger in diameter bees wax candle because the wick is deeper into the candle and can't do it with a small hand held lighter so I bought this. I bought the same design of lighter, a long nozzle, years ago, in about 2003 or so and remember it was adjustable. If you have a gas stove it would make it safer but again a much smaller flame is all that is needed. Why it isn't adjustable is maybe because then the lighter empties more quickly thus you need to buy another sooner. It's the way big companies take advantage of customers. At least that's my amateur view.

This product is plain pollution. My mother has one in her shiz drawer and wondered if it could be refilled. Bic should be sued for creating plastic pollution with their non refillable lighters. What a freaken waste. It's like buying a car with a full tank of gas but have to throw away the car because you can't refill the tank. This lighter is Moronic.

Can't agree more, i myself thought it was refillable when i bought it and i indicated on the video that it's not refillable. but it lasts much longer than a usual lighter, i give them that. and although it's working up till the moment with me and i use it twice a day. It's a good value for the money, yet i'm not gonna buy another one in the future.

Well are you clicking both buttons? Are you pressing downward on the other button beneath? I just bought this the other day, and I’m so irritated that it doesn’t have instructions. How in the world can a company sell a dangerous product without instructions?!

It does have one and only button which is the big circle and it requires a stiff strong click to ignite .. and you should keep any dangerous tools away from children.

The drawbacks on these lighters is that they don't last as long as a regular lighter so you have to keep buying them but they are easy to light

Gas stays on it for a very long time, it's still working up till the moment since the time i uploaded this video. and unfortunately, it's not refillable, yet still worth the money for how durable and how long it can be used without refilling.

It's not refillable, there might be some ways around to refill it but it's not safe as it doesn't have any valves to refill.

It's a perfect lighter, i agree, the one and only down side is that it's not refillable! But it's long lasting tank though, i kept using it for almost 3 years of casual use like twice a day or so to light the stove.

Um well, nothing i can see in it as a safety lock like most other lights, it's intended to be used by adults of course, but i can say it requires a strong click on it to light up.

It would’ve helped A LOT if you added that you have to pull up the silver wire ring and then press down the gray button for the lighter to work!!!

The lighter does light up whether if the silver ring is pulled up or not as it's meant to hang it to a holder or a nail or something.

Yes! I know that and i did the best i could to show that for people who are going to buy it. i wish it were refillable too. yet, you can return the refilling canister & no worries about the fact that it's non-refillable since it has enough gas to run it for a long period of time .. it may last a year or so even if it lasts 6 months or so it's good enough i guess. still working with me since the time of uploading this video!

Unfortunately, it's not refillable, but it lasts very long compared to any regular lighter.

No, it really doesn't. Since you can't adjust the flame it burns up a LOT of gas every time you use it, so if you need it to light 4-12 candles every time you use it it runs out really quickly. Ours lasted less than two months... Definitely going for a refillable one next time!

Hey Werner, I pointed at the 0:24 of the video & mentioned at the description section as well that it's a non-refillable lighter, cause i thought it was refillable when i bought it and i wanted to make it clear to others that it isn't. meanwhile, i'm so sure that it's gonna last for a very long time due to it's high capacity.
