Never have I ever seen traffic signs be more necessary, with all the lanes blanketed in snow! But still it's all very chill and you seem to have plenty of time to see where you are supposed to ride.

During 2019 not a single pedestrian or cyclists died in Helsinki traffic. None. Zero. Same for Oslo.

Just for context though: Finland: 5,380,200 , Bicycles: 3,250,000 Cyclists: ~60.4% The Netherlands People: 16,652,800 ,Bicycles: 16,500,000, Cyclists: ~99.1%

@@abbaby555 Yes but in NYC there are always car chases. We know that from TV series. So they have an excuse. Are you going to drive slow after you robbed a bank? Well then. And do you ever see TV series from Helsinki with car chases? Maybe on skies at most. So that's the difference.

Congratulations. In my country (Poland) there are more cars than humans. It's harder to live here than during the communist era.

in my city it’s difficult to cycle or walk in the winter because the ploughs dump snow into the bike lanes and onto the sidewalks
