Thanks for your comment, the event is in its infancy and is going to develop this year. Its run by local volunteers but there are plans to include more obstacles and surprises.

Great contest! I think it's a bit cheating when you just put a plywood body over an existing frame (forklift, cat, dunebuggy, etc.) The rickety ones with parts scavenged from the junk yard are MUCH more interesting. See Scrap Heap Challenge/Junk Yard Wars.

Thanks for your comment. This event is just starting out and the support from participants has been amazing. The organisers are looking to develop the track for this year to add more obstacles and surprises.
