"WASHINGTON-President Biden is expected to sign an executive order Tuesday that would ban migrants who cross the southern border illegally from claiming asylum, a last-resort effort meant to quell voter discontent with his handling of immigration ahead of the presidential election.
Biden decided to take the step despite advice from legal and operational advisers that such an order would likely be struck down in court-and, even if it survived legal scrutiny, would prove tough to fully implement without a massive infusion of funds from Congress, according to people familiar with the discussions."

He's been making positive changes for the past 3 years with definitive results, the media just doesn't cover it because it's not news unless republicans cry about it. There’s a few thousand illegals in a shelter just in my neighborhood. Our local taxes are paying for it. Cost of living for us here is very high, it’s hard to get by, but these people live for free on us. There are fights and crime and aggressive panhandling, so now we pay for extra security and police because they won’t behave themselves. Our once nice neighborhood is now filled with litter, and we have to pay for extra cleaners now. All that money is coming out of our schools, libraries, and other community resources that we will now never see. Also, there are struggling American families, many black and Latino, that could use a leg up, and money originally intended for them is being diverted away.

Immigrants are a red herring. We could deport every last one of them and it wouldn't solve any of the problems that face working Americans today. I agree that there should be a process to screen immigrants - and so does just about every Democrat, Biden included. I'm just being realistic about where problems really come from. It's actually pretty easy to tell the difference between real problems and scapegoats. Just ask yourself, does the culprit have any real power over our lives? Immigrants are powerless. Politicians, giant corporations, and billionaires are the only parties powerful enough to create and perpetuate real systemic problems to dump on the rest of us. Nobody else is capable of changing enough to solve anything.

Vast majority do come in through a POE. Issue isn't that at all, Issue is the systems governing it. By coming to a POE and making a asylum claim it invokes a right of due process. However there are detainment limitations, someone waiting due process can only be held for a set number of days. System is so overloaded its impossible to give a court date within that time frame so it becomes catch and release, most are no shows when their court date is due.

Before they arrived, we got a state refund check for $350 because there was leftover healthcare money. Well, now we’re having to slash programs to fund these people’s dreams! IDGAF about people who “just want a better life” SO DO I!!! Bottom lines are they’re gobbling up resources that they’ve never contributed to, and the little bit of housing that is affordable in CO needs to go to Americans!!! I’m so sick of this!! Can’t even go to the doctor without signs in Spanish, Lyft drivers not knowing a lick of English, no attempt at acclamation…it’s disgusting. Doesn’t even look like America anymore. 😞

Weaken one, you weaken the whole. Strong nations are built off of these four strong pillars. Weaken one, and you weaken the nation. This much should be obvious. But there are those who do not like borders, are not interested in laws unless they are the ones in control, and are not supportive of the ruler unless he is one of theirs. Theirs is a partisan USA, and they are only proud of it when they run things. If you want to decline as a nation, stop enforcing the law equally. That is what some of the South American and msny other countries did, and they have become a cautionary tale. Yet even they still enforce borders because it's only when we do that we know who the laws and taxes apply to.
