The American voter falls into 2 camps: the ideolog and the thinker - the ideologs don't think, they just vote for the party regardless of who the candidate is or even if that candidate is, to be succinct, an idiot - thinkers weigh up the issues and the policies of the available candidates and their parties (and no, they do not always coincide), some would call them "independents", but they are more than that, they are people who want what is best for America and Americans, even if they themselves do not benefit by their vote - what this upcoming election has presented is such a chasmous difference between the candidates for President, both of whom have a record to base any decision on; one of which has proven successful as President and beneficial to America and all Americans, and the other who has completely and utterly failed as President and has proved harmful to America and all Americans (especially those who are his supposed base) - the choice is obvious, but the ideologs will still vote for the failure and the guarantee of being worse off and less served should their candidate win - interesting times, and a true indicator that some Americans just should not vote.
